The food I had wasn't great but it wasn't terrible either. I had a slice of cheese pizza, some jalapeño potato salad , some chocolates, and a gelato sample. Most of it was just pretty bland. The potato salad was the most disappointing part of my meal. I was also not a fan of their beer garden prices. Over 8 dollars for a draft is not great. Customer service here was also irritating as I watched the bartender walk all around while I waited. Maybe I tried the wrong items and like I said they have TONS of options. I would go back but mostly for the soup.

They were sharing stories and saying hellos and goodbyes and it seemed like family. They were in no hurry to bag their stuff and get them out the door; they were genuinely happy to see them and interact. I got to the register and asked for a Michigan regional TJs reusable bag. The clerk went through all the lines to find one- not one available. She even went as far as to ask when they would be- tomorrow. Ok. I will come back! Still $0.99 - one thing that has not gone up in price it seems. The Christmastime treats are in full effect. The gingerbread cookie was ok. Needed more icing and more gingerbread spice! If you've never been to a Meijer, just think of a higher end Walmart but also larger in size. Meijer typically carries groceries, sporting goods, toys, clothing, shoes, electronics, school/office supplies, and home decor. Prices seem pretty good, especially because they have random sales, promotions, and even clearance sections. This is especially true for their clothing and shoe departments. But they still have all the other essentials you need from the other Asian countries. The first thing you'll notice is that this place is super clean and the products are fresher and more presentable. It also doesn't smell like fish bc there is no butcher. One item that they have that is unique that is difficult to find but health experts say is a super vegetable is Moringa (in Filipino called Malungay). Also they have a lot of Filipino baked goods that come from Chicago. So if you like following trendy food on social media this is the place to come to for UBE. Like real ube. One thing I hate is that other cultures use purple potato and call it ube and cash in on our culture. Come here for the real thing!!!

They were well stocked and had a great selection of frozen seafood and meats, dry goods, and familiar snacks. Looks like a new store and very clean and well organized. In all seriousness there is a rotating selection of Asian vegetables, they are seasonal and fresh. There are a lot of spices and condiments that I am sure are typical in daily Nepalese cooking. I've tried some of the chili condiments and loved them. A small selection of cookware and tons of snacks to try. Again, very friendly staff. Highly recommend food exploration here.
