Actually, almost everything in the area was new since I was in Holland as a child and it was basically just the outlet mall with a hotel close by. I was very pleasantly pleased to see that they had all the ideas I was in search for while home visiting and that I wouldn't have to go to multiple locations. In FL it is Oscar Myer country and I dislike their bologna as I am a Eckrich girl all the way. You can also not get Stehouwer's Sizzlers in FL as it is a Michigan based company and I previously have looked into having them directly shipped down but with them needing dry ice, it's a fortune. Last but not least is Wyler's Mrs. Grass soup that suddenly all the Publix locations in the Tampa Bay area that I visit have stopped carrying. So annoying but I stock up on everything while I am at home, freezing the bologna and sizzlers and then bringing them back in a cooler on my flight as it's a quick direct flight back. Call me crazy but whatever... if in season, you can add Michigan Sweet Corn into my stash. When I first started doing this all the TSA people went through my bag and would just give me a funny look until I explained and then laugh at me. Oh well, this location was clean and very well stocked, which I greatly appreciated.

In my 50 years of living I've only seen one other mall with a higher percentage of closed up store fronts and that was a town about half the size of Holland. Maybe when it was opened and actually had most of it's stores occupied it might have been a place to consider going, but those days are long gone. Save your time and go to the Rivertown Crossings mall in Grand Rapids if you're looking for an afternoon at the mall.

The lady on the phone said only registered emotional support animals (ESA's) with papers were allowed in. Legally they are not. Kohl's, educate your staff. Only task trained service dogs or service dogs in training are allowed in the store. Papers, registration, or certification is not legally recognised by the ADA and does not make a dog a service dog. I'm tired of having to explain things that should be common knowledge to customer support. Please also educate your staff to never "baby talk" to a service dog, as more than 3 employees have done so to my dog.

Some seem to actively try to look occupied as soon as you walk through the second set of sliding doors. They'll look at you then look down as you walk in...and it tends to be the same greeters every time. 2) Twice now I've asked people at the doughnut section if these particular doughnuts are Boston cream filled and both tubes they swore that these are. Never again will I trust the bakery people who either lie or don't know their own products.
