I asked the cashier if they were allowed to not have masks even though there is a sign on the door?  and she said yes.I went and asked the manager why they do not endorse the governors mandate and he said they were only required to have a sign on the door but not required to enforce that mandate.He said they are not allowed to ask people to wear masks even though the sign on door states they are required! I work in a doctors office and if a mask is not worn, they are not even allowed in the building! Period! The masks that people wear protects others not ourselves so because they were not wearing masks, they put my, the employees and everyone else in the stores health at risk!! I will not be spending any of my money here anymore as they do not care about the protection and health of their customers!!That means anyone that is covid positive can walk right in there with no mask and nothing is said to them! Unbelievable and so careless!!

I'll be listing off of 4 things, cleanliness, customer service, quality of items, and the price. Starting off, this store is extremely dirty they never clean or mop the floors and it's been like this since I was starting kindergarten so docking a star for that. The shelves are dirty if you actually pay attention to them like you can see little black spots on the shelves if you look closely. They never clean the carts or the baskets which honestly I've been going to the store for years and I actually don't mind it really, like I've just been used to it now. But still, minus one star. Now the people that work there are actually kind of nice they just don't like working, like I've never had a situation where there's been a rude cashier or anything rude happen. There's a few cashiers that I recommend having like this one guy who is friendly and talks a lot and this other guy who is nice and actually tries to make conversation. I'm not going to say their names but you'll probably figure it out if you go there. Next they do have a lot of items and they're actually pretty good too they have two sections in the store for kids, the tools section, pet section, a lot of snack sections, nails, cleaning supplies, and a baby section all in one and the medicine aisle, which the medicine is protected by these little things and if you try to take more than like two then the alarms will go off but not actual alarms like they're tiny, and a tiny tiny glasses section. I can't name all the aisles but they do have a lot of stuff. Also if you ever go here just know there are a lot of stocking carts in the store and it does get a little crowded during the holidays cuz like they never run out of things to sell like they just continuously stock and stock so that's a really good thing. Next is price. This honestly has to be the best Dollar store in Jackson because the prices are actually really low. Like they're better than the actual Dollar store. If you want to buy cereal cereal is like $2 or $5. Everything in the store is below like 25 bucks so I do recommend going here. They have some pretty useful things and for a low price. Just yesterday I got 15 things for the total price to come out as $20. Honestly to conclude Dollar general the store may not be the cleanest and maybe crowded sometimes but I've been going here since childhood and the prices are good and they never run out of things to sell ever. So I'm leaving this review as a four stars.
