Two days ago I went into the store and I was the only one wearing the mask. The employees wear their mask around the chin (including the manager) and some of them don't wear the mask at all. Most costumers don't wear them also. I asked the manager about it and she told me that she can't force/tell the costumers to wear the mask according to the Dollar General Corporation. It's sad and pathetic, this store need to be closed, but I know that people in this small town don't care and are little behind time. Sad. sad, sad.

I usually always get our welcome signs here, they have great variety. As for the seasonal items, once they sell out the usually don't order more. Cons: can't guarantee that some items will be there the next time you go. It can be hit or miss, but you can always call ahead if you don't want to make the trip for a specific item unless they have it. It's clean, well stocked and well merchandised. They have almost everything I need at a very good price. This store is busy though. They can have 2 cashiers and still have a line down one of the isles. The store is busy enough to actually have the payroll to employ stockers and employees working on the floor! That's not common in the dollar store world. The only reason for the missing star is the rest of the employees i.e. management, are not so friendly. This crew is only helpful when asked. They are not going to ask you if you need help finding something. I shopped here for about 5 months before I even knew who the store manager was. If they could kick up the customer service I'd give it 5 stars!

They are located where the Michael's and Home Sense shopping center and they have plenty of parking spaces! one of the reason why I like going here. This particular dollar tree opens early even on a Sunday, they open at 8:00 am and that is the time when I usually go here because I like it when its quiet and I can just walk around the store. Employees at the San Jose location are phenomenal! they are always there to help and they also make sure that the store is clean and neat! I have not seen any Dollar Tree this clean! no boxes and everything is organized! Selection here is great too! I always find things that I do not need at a very reasonable price!

With that said, I urge all customers to look into the class action lawsuit and then determine if you would still support DG. Regarding improvements, a lot of improvements could be made at this storefront. Starting with the hours of operation. I was looking to buy some drinks 9:30 at night. I left for DG and got there at 9:50 with just 10 minutes to spare! Yay I can get what I needed after taking the time to get ready and gas it takes to get there! Surely the store is open since its only 9:50? Right??.... Well not exactly. The doors were closed and locked at 9:50 pm. This was on March 24th. After trying to open the doors myself to ensure they weren't just jammed, double checking the time, knocking on the doors and even trying to talk to an employee through the space in the doors (that I could just barely see hiding behind some boxes and mess of an entrance) I finally gave up and decided to go to Walmart instead. It wasn't until I got into my car and was backing out of my parking space, that I see someone coming to unlock the entrance door. The employee couldn't be bothered less to show some courtesy or even explain why the doors were locked. And I couldn't be bothered less to stay or give them any of my money. On that note, there's no point in a Dollar store when everything costs more than it would at Walmart. And with prices being above average compared to Walmart, the only redeeming quality of DG is convenience. Oddly enough, the crew on this particular night made my experience, and I am sure many others, less than convenient. I have a hunch that this is not a one off thing. The level of comfortability and blatant disregard shown by the employees leads me to believe that whoever was in charge on this particular night, has made the early/pre-mature closure of the storefront a habitual thing. Likely losing out on a lot of money which is ironic considering a DG is a discount store. I doubt a business owner would close 10 minutes early, which leads me to believe it was not the owner but instead and hourly waged employee who values going to home early above the responsibilities trusted to them by the hiring official. I believe an investigation and audit of the storefront would be completely justified. I would be interested to know how much money this particular storefront has missed out on due to the night crew closing before the actual closing time. Considered DG is a dollar store, every dollar missed is a big deal. With that said, DG can go bankrupt for all I care. I will never give them a penny going forward and I urge customers to go to a locally owned convenience store or literally anywhere else.

I expressed to her it's not fair to customers to pay a different price than advertised price. She stated that the price on the shelf has not been changed to match the price in the register. I told her the advertised price is what is right to pay. This little nasty guy named Nate came over to the clerk's area. He told me he wasn't doing anything about it and leave the store. He told me not to come back. I told him I would return with my phone to photograph price discrepancy and every detail needed to file a complaint. He told me to get out before something bad would happen to me. I took photos and left the store. I have shopped at this DG for years and it was my favorite one until today. The people who work at this store have always been kind with great customer service. As of today, I will never shop at DG again and will encourage all family and friends to not do business with DG.

They were out as well. Not really surprising, but it was worth a shot. I did find a couple of other items on my list there that they were not out of, so that was nice. One thing about this store is that it was trashed. Aisles had debris (not products... debris) strewn throughout, and the floors themselves looked like they had not had a broom or mop applied to them in about a week. I used to work in a grocery store, so I know how long it takes for an aisle to really get messed up, and frankly I have never seen floors and aisles at this level of destruction. This is a store that either does not care about what it looks like, or does not hire enough employees to make sure that certain standards are upheld. My guess... both.
