Since Walmart is taking over the world and that's where we have to shop now, I've come to be very…read morefamiliar with them and and I don't mind going anymore and I am one of the only people I know that actually enjoy self checkout it's probably because I'm not trying to take hams out between my thighs. But anyway, recently we went in there and we got three food items. . A watermelon a $.568, bag of trail mix $5.98 and a bottle of juice $1.75 Now our total was $13.44 before taxes. However, when I used My disability insurance card. It paid for everything except for the watermelon (which was the first item that was scanned ) Before I could look at the at the screen and see what was going on. My husband had already paid for the watermelon with cash (at that time I knew it was food. I just didn't know it was watermelon) I just knew it should have all been on my disability card so I walked over to customer service. There's one young lady there that I enjoy very much. She's always very helpful but unfortunately she was going on break. There was another young lady there that spoke to me as if I was a child now I'll be 60 my next birthday and I don't really give a Red rat's bottom these young people want to talk to each other. They're not going to speak to me like that so I said , "So. EBT knows what all of your products are marked at and what should be cash and what should be food stamps. Okay, good to know. Well I'll go home right now and give him a call and give him a piece of my mind knowing the truth.. And always a woman of my word I went home called EBT and told them and the young man that answered the phone said what they said WHAT? As he was trying so hard not to laugh. He pulled up the transaction. He was able to pull it up that fast. It was maybe 10 minutes after this it all happened and he said they didn't pay for the watermelon. Why? Why didn't they pay for your watermelon? He said if you didn't have the funds it would have been the last item, not the first item and I told him what they said that it was an EBT problem. He said well, I hate to tell you this ma'am but That's a Walmart problem and they need to fix it. So I hang up and called Walmart And as always in my sweetest most pleasant voice asked her if she was the young lady that had just spoke to somebody about the watermelons & EBT and she said well. Yes she was. I said I just called EBT and they told me to tell you that it was a Walmart problem and y'all need to get your stuff together. They have no way of knowing what your stuff is or how its coded as they just know what the information is that you send them for whether or not they pay for it or not. I then asked her who the manager would be on duty the following day so that I may go up there and speak to them and she told me that she was not allowed to give out that information I said. Can you tell me when they'll be there? And she said there's one there during all store hours. I said well. Can you tell me when they'll be there on your shift? And she told me no she could not. Then she said you can come up now if you want and talk to them. All I said is You really do not want me to come to that store right now. Through all this I was polite (for me anyway).I did not cuss I didn't raise my voice. I know that's hard to believe that it my husband was with me and I'm sure that have been a video about it. YouTube by now if I wasn't nice. And I still have not gone up there to confront them about this because if they're stealing $7 from my pocket in cash what The heck are they doing to the people that have $7 and that's all they have. They can either feed their kid or they can put a roof over with the last $10 they can spend on a hot summer day and they can't even go to the pool. They're charging them cash for something that that should be paid for by the EBT card. It's not the $7 or $8 or whatever the heck it is. That's not the point. The point of the matter is is that they're doing that to me A senior citizen what are they doing to the next person to walks through the door? The single mom with three kids or single father or just young couple? I heard down on their luck. What are they doing to them? All that we take is the one or two items out of each store for every store that Walmart has. Can you imagine the money they could rack up? and the only reason we caught it is because all three items should have been covered which nobody goes to the store and just picks up one eye them. How many other people, how many more of you are they doing that to and think about all the Walmarts all across the country. If every store only had two two products, that's it. Just two products out of every store for every Walmart. Can you imagine the money that they're making off us so check your receipts if I can figure out how I will upload a picture of mine

The former I would never be caught in public in and the latter I can get from Walmart. No matter the type of clothing I always look at the price and am afraid to even touch anything because it's so expensive. Also, the staff are usually stuck up and make me feel like I'm going to stuff a shirt in my bag as soon as they turn their back. Now that I've gotten my rant out of the way I have to say the Mustard Seed is not your typical boutique. Large selection. They have a great selection of clothing and jewelry and are always getting new stuff in. Since it's located in a small town I had this vision of all the local women running around in the same chevron maxi dress. Not the case. They don't carry a surplus of the same items. So you can buy an outfit and be confident that everyone and their mother won't have the same one. Great prices. I'm always surprised at how reasonably priced the clothes are. If you were to buy the same item in the city I have no doubt it'd be marked up so much higher. For me this means instead of buying just one item I don't feel guilty buying two or three... or four!! Locally owned. You can also feel good knowing your money is going to a local business that stocks some local products. Not some chain store with mass produced products. Friendly staff. The owner is so nice and makes you feel welcomed. Her daughter also works at the store and is one of the sweetest girls you'll ever meet. If there's a downside to having them working at the store it's that you almost feel guilty not buying something from them. I absolutely love this store and try to stop in anytime I'm in town. It's a great place to find gifts for friends and family though I have to admit I usually leave with something for myself. If you're ever in the area be sure to stop by!!

The store is so cute! The mix of nostalgic candy, rare finds, antiques, ice cream, coffee, and bulk items can be overwelming, but in a positive way. It is almost like a candy / treat store and a museum all in one. On this trip, I got some coffee sample packets for my husband's Easter basket, a frappe for each of us, and a couple of candies for the household. The shop is bursting with products, so the aisles are a bit tight for passing people stopped to check out the fun products. Caledonia is a charming little village with shops, eats, and several outdoor adventures in the area.

When we visited, it was decorated for Christmas, giving it a cozy, vintage holiday vibe. The shelves were filled with childhood candies (even candy cigarettes). They also have an impressive selection of coffees from around the world -- and the prices are refreshingly reasonable. The handmade ice cream bar is a must-try. We ordered an ice cream flight with five samples, perfect for sharing since we couldn't decide on just one of the many delicious flavors. The assortment of chocolates looked amazing too. Upstairs, you can stroll through a collection of antiques that add even more charm to the place. We really enjoyed our visit -- it's a place that makes you slow down, take it all in, and maybe leave with a few extra treats you didn't plan on.
