Since Walmart is taking over the world and that's where we have to shop now, I've come to be very…read morefamiliar with them and and I don't mind going anymore and I am one of the only people I know that actually enjoy self checkout it's probably because I'm not trying to take hams out between my thighs. But anyway, recently we went in there and we got three food items. . A watermelon a $.568, bag of trail mix $5.98 and a bottle of juice $1.75 Now our total was $13.44 before taxes. However, when I used My disability insurance card. It paid for everything except for the watermelon (which was the first item that was scanned ) Before I could look at the at the screen and see what was going on. My husband had already paid for the watermelon with cash (at that time I knew it was food. I just didn't know it was watermelon) I just knew it should have all been on my disability card so I walked over to customer service. There's one young lady there that I enjoy very much. She's always very helpful but unfortunately she was going on break. There was another young lady there that spoke to me as if I was a child now I'll be 60 my next birthday and I don't really give a Red rat's bottom these young people want to talk to each other. They're not going to speak to me like that so I said , "So. EBT knows what all of your products are marked at and what should be cash and what should be food stamps. Okay, good to know. Well I'll go home right now and give him a call and give him a piece of my mind knowing the truth.. And always a woman of my word I went home called EBT and told them and the young man that answered the phone said what they said WHAT? As he was trying so hard not to laugh. He pulled up the transaction. He was able to pull it up that fast. It was maybe 10 minutes after this it all happened and he said they didn't pay for the watermelon. Why? Why didn't they pay for your watermelon? He said if you didn't have the funds it would have been the last item, not the first item and I told him what they said that it was an EBT problem. He said well, I hate to tell you this ma'am but That's a Walmart problem and they need to fix it. So I hang up and called Walmart And as always in my sweetest most pleasant voice asked her if she was the young lady that had just spoke to somebody about the watermelons & EBT and she said well. Yes she was. I said I just called EBT and they told me to tell you that it was a Walmart problem and y'all need to get your stuff together. They have no way of knowing what your stuff is or how its coded as they just know what the information is that you send them for whether or not they pay for it or not. I then asked her who the manager would be on duty the following day so that I may go up there and speak to them and she told me that she was not allowed to give out that information I said. Can you tell me when they'll be there? And she said there's one there during all store hours. I said well. Can you tell me when they'll be there on your shift? And she told me no she could not. Then she said you can come up now if you want and talk to them. All I said is You really do not want me to come to that store right now. Through all this I was polite (for me anyway).I did not cuss I didn't raise my voice. I know that's hard to believe that it my husband was with me and I'm sure that have been a video about it. YouTube by now if I wasn't nice. And I still have not gone up there to confront them about this because if they're stealing $7 from my pocket in cash what The heck are they doing to the people that have $7 and that's all they have. They can either feed their kid or they can put a roof over with the last $10 they can spend on a hot summer day and they can't even go to the pool. They're charging them cash for something that that should be paid for by the EBT card. It's not the $7 or $8 or whatever the heck it is. That's not the point. The point of the matter is is that they're doing that to me A senior citizen what are they doing to the next person to walks through the door? The single mom with three kids or single father or just young couple? I heard down on their luck. What are they doing to them? All that we take is the one or two items out of each store for every store that Walmart has. Can you imagine the money they could rack up? and the only reason we caught it is because all three items should have been covered which nobody goes to the store and just picks up one eye them. How many other people, how many more of you are they doing that to and think about all the Walmarts all across the country. If every store only had two two products, that's it. Just two products out of every store for every Walmart. Can you imagine the money that they're making off us so check your receipts if I can figure out how I will upload a picture of mine

Typically I like Schnucks. Employees are pretty cool, store is always clean and well put together…read more You can also find things there that aren't in other local store. ALTHOUGH, last time I went in there I was sorely disappointed and the meat department. I don't know if it was incompetence or laziness.....I asked to have a 5lbs bottom round sliced at 1/4 inch for jerky. The guy asked if he could do that to another employee and I explained (I shouldn't have to) that I've had it done before. This is the butcher area of the meat department......a lady walked up and tells me it will take forever to get done . I said "to slice a 5lbs bottom round?" She said "ya, you usually need to call in a day before to have something like this done so we have time." Absolutely mind blown . It's take 3-4 minutes tops to slice one. Mind you, this is after I explained I've had it done multiple times. I just laughed and left. I didn't even trust them to slice it at this point. She told me it would take approximately 1 hour to accomplish lol. I left and had it down somewhere else in under 10 minutes. While this place is usually just OKAY, I was left with a bad taste in my mouth after this interaction. Obviously I'll still go back for some things, but I'll be avoiding this meat department. I would rather pay a little more somewhere else than deal with that type of service again.
