This store is so junky…read moreinside and out the outside trash can was overflowing I only seen on clerk ever try to empty it but she apparently was told only the manager is allowed to take trash to the dumpster so it doesn't do any good. Walked into The store stepping over bicycles in front of the door only to find their are no baskets available. Their is boxes and damaged merchandise all over the place behind the register the pile seems to get bigger everyday the same clerk trying to clean the parking lot is the only one I've seen with a broom mop and dust rag in her hands trying to clean up around the register. Everytime I go up to pay someone is yelling for her to come check out I always wonder if she's the only one capable of running a register? Poor lady seems to be doing the job of 3 while the others stand around talking or outside smoking I never see this lady get a break. The manager was arguing with the assistant manager they were cursing and yelling with a lot of customers in the store I finally walked out and went to family dollar. Most the time that dollar general is out of merchandise the sales are useless when the shelves are empty. I have head the manager several times talk to customers about her personal life. She hires all these young people make them key holders they end up calling in sick all the time or quit while other employees that are dedicated gets over looked. Two customers in front of me were told they had no bags for their purchase. I had a damn basket full. I backed up my buggy and yanked the bags off 2 racks at the shut down self check out. I gave the 2 in front of me bags for their purchase then I threw it on the counter so mine could be bagged. The management at this store has sucked since Crystal retired. I try not to go in there at all.

The staff is always friendly and helpful which is very nice…read more Plus ... it recently got an upgrade and now they actually have some fresh produce like bananas, onions, fruit and prepackaged salads. The fridge/freezer side is also twice as big as it was before. This makes it so nice when you need a few things and don't want to drive all the way into Madisonville or Bryan. Kudos to them for making small town living even better!
