Came here when I was in town visiting a friend. I was told this was the only grocery store in…read moreCarrabelle, FL. I can't image living in a tiny town like this. I'd probably go crazy. Then again I lived in the middle of nowhere in West Texas for four years because of my job. So I think I can manage to survive if I had to live here for whatever odd reason. The store is not too far from the World Smallest Police Station. It is a bit out dated but be thankful you can actually get groceries. I tried their fried chicken from the deli because I was hungry, it was actually quite tasty. Overall, a place you can't avoid because you don't have other choices.

So the carrabelle IGA here in town is my absolute go to for Blue Bell ice cream. I probably spend…read moreclose to a hundred bucks a week on ice cream and what not. Last night I bought a 15 dollar rotisserie chicken, and it was spoiled. I had bought it as they were closing,so I had to wait till the AM to return it. Immediate response I got was attitude, and the comment she made was she "couldnt just return EATEN FOOD like that" as if I had taken more than two tiny bites... I paid 15 dollars for this chicken. So she then begrudgingly said I could go ask the lady in the kitchen if she could make me a new one... Go and explain it to her and that the manager said I could ask her to make me a new one in exchange "Oh no, I can't do that" And I stated oh so I'm just stuck with a spoiled 15 dollar chicken you all sold me Looks me dead in the eye with a flat tone in her voice "YEP" So at that point yeah I'm a little pissed off, wasted 15 dollars and then get attitude for no reason, like im in there trying to get over on them and rip em off or something. So on my way out, in the parking lot I admit I lost my cool a bit, and turned the bag upside down and left the chicken there with them. The manager then comes out and called me a "LITTLE FAGGOT" Unfortunate that you all sell spoiled food to someone and then give them attitude like they're scumbags for trying to have you make it right.

I love this Publix! It's relatively small, but they have almost everything a normal Publix would…read more If you're looking for cheap crab legs this is the perfect place. Pick your crab leg cluster and they will season it (old bay, Cajun, lemon pepper) and steam it while you look around the store. It's quick and efficient. I think the cluster was $10 & the crab cakes were about $3 each.

If you want to see what grocery price gouging looks like in its natural habitat, go visit the…read morePublix Super Market at WaterColor Crossings that serves Seaside and Seagrove. Walking into that store feels less like grocery shopping and more like accidentally wandering into a tourist-trap convenience store wearing a Publix costume. Everything is pristine. Everything is organized. Everything is friendly. And everything costs an absolutely absurd amount of money. A quick trip for a few basics turns into a receipt that looks like you accidentally bought groceries for a small wedding. You grab a few staples such as milk, eggs, sandwich meat, maybe a jar of mayo and suddenly you're staring at a total that makes you wonder if the cashier slipped a Rolex and a beach condo deposit into your bag. And the worst part is that nothing about the experience justifies it. This isn't some boutique organic market. It's just a normal Publix that realized it sits between Seaside vacation rentals and Highway 30A tourists with sunburns and no other options. The pricing feels less like inflation and more like a calculated shakedown of anyone within five miles who needs groceries. And this isn't just imagination. Publix has been getting hammered by shoppers across Florida for prices that can run 30-50% higher than competitors on basic items. People are literally posting receipts online because they can't believe how much they paid for ordinary groceries. That's exactly how this store feels. You walk in thinking: "Publix -- where shopping is a pleasure." You walk out thinking: "Publix -- where shopping is a financial mugging with fluorescent lighting." Sure, the employees are nice. Sure, the floors are clean. But none of that makes it easier to swallow paying vacation-town ransom prices for groceries that cost dramatically less literally anywhere else. The Seagrove/Seaside Publix isn't a grocery store. It's a well-lit toll booth for people who ran out of food on 30A.
