Our Moose Track Adventures canoe trip guide had a pair on that I admired, and since I needed a pair for an upcoming trip to the Peruvian Amazon, that was good enough for me. At the end of the Amazon trip, we were asked whether we wished to donate the boots. I liked the fit, comfort, and versatility of my LaCrosse boots so much that I declined in favor of my next Earthwatch adventure.

Saunas are a big thing up here, they have a whole section dedicated to sauna stuff. Lots of essential oils! Jewelry,kitchen stuff,garden deco. And lots more! For a small town grocery store, Zup's Food Market is pretty impressive. They offer house smoked…read moremeats, sausages and jerky and you will not find that at your typical grocer. While I shopped, I felt like I was shopping at a Aldi's or Trader Joe's. Saying that, I mean I saw brands I typically do not see in my grocer back home. Being from the mid-west, some of these brands here were totally different. However, I will say, those that we bought to cook at my cousins cabin were good quality. One thing that really impressed me was, the Amish unsalted butter in a roll. There's just something about the freshness and homemade flavor, that makes it stand out. Being a small town grocery, everyone knew each other, so the service had that down home feel.

The one thing I wish that Walmart would carry is a type of formula from the UK. I have to travel to another store to get this item, but that's ok. The other thing I will mention quick about Walmart is that the employees up in the front seem to do alot of standing around. The last time I was there I spotted 5 in the self chekout area doing absolutely nothing. Wouldn't it be great if they could open cashier checkout line especially when all of the self check lines are full? A neat little book shop you can get lost in…read more I've been to stores like this before and Chapman is small in comparison but they make up for this with the amount of product they have. (They need more room!) Plenty of vintage and modern books to be had in varying degrees of quality (used). There's a beautiful kitty roaming this store and a few comfy armchairs scattered about. They are also a small smoke shop and sell pipes, tobacco, vintage tarot and gemstones.

It appears that they are kids or teenagers at most in age, but they are running the whole store operation - scooping ice cream/manning the cash register, which is very cool to see. This ice cream shop has tons of options to choose from. I ended up going with a small scoop of Burntside "Rich & Famous" (oreo/reese inside), which they said was popular here. I was glad to see that their scoops were very generous. They serve a single scoop in a whole bowl and it's very worth the price I paid for. So, it's a 5 star in my books.

They have a men's side and a women's side. The women's side had a ton of apparel. I found a cute shirt and shorts on sale. The fitting room is right there by the stairwell. I love a good sale. These times were not for Ely, they were just hiking/camping brands of clothing, but that's ok. A lot of the women's stuff was fairly plain. The back of the store has restrooms, art, and camping/fishing supplies. The front of the store has weapons and shoes. In fact, the gal who makes the moccasins was right there in the store, putting them together in real time! It was so cool to see how she was manipulating the leather. We did not take the stairs up to the second level; it appeared to be more of a bookstore up there. Parking is on the street.
