Seems almost like the stores switched management and employees because this store is so clean now while Maddox is no longer as good as what it used to be because they have such a high turnover rate they must have a toxic work environment as I've had a couple uncomfortable experiences at Maddox. It's like a complete flip in the stores' qualities and customer service. The new workers are usually nice, and if not they still don't usually have a nasty attitude. Maddox has been understaffed and dirty etc, which used to be the case for this store but this location is now our preferred store because there are so many products here that are hard to find anywhere else and so many options to choose from- very large selection and rarely understocked. Maddox location just isn't as big to have as much of a selection. This 382 store also has some clothing too. East Cherokee Drive dead ends into the shopping center. It also features a Publix Grocery store, Marcos Pizza, Subway, The One Taekwondo Center and Chase Bank. The store is well stocked and still has the new car smell. I was greeted by a smiling employee as soon as I walked in. Most of the Dollar Tree Store features their seasonal items towards the right front of the as you walk in. They often have very cute decorations and candies that fits the season that we are in. In this case with Easter coming up they had lots of items to fill Easter baskets. I was able to get a few items that I needed including those rubber mats that you line the kitchen drawers with for a whole buck! It's located where the Dollar General use to be. It's one of the best Dollar Tree I've been to in the metro area. Apparently it's sorta a neighborhood type place. When I was here at least 2 customers came in separately and were greeted by their first name by the employees which adds to the charm of the place. To be honest I find the folks up here in Canton to be super friendly. Whether it's the Ingles or the county courthouse there are no strangers up here. Anyway by having a smaller footprint and being able to offer just about everything you mainly buy at WalMart they are able to catch people who just need a gallon of Milk but don't want to drive all the way to the Grocery store or Wally. It's extremely convenient to my house and my job as well as the other shops I frequent. On several occasions, I've encountered a RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL older white woman who says she is the 1st manager. Her name is Teri and if she's not the owner of the store why does she still have a job there? She is disrespectful to the customers as well as the other employees. I've witnessed her behavior quite frequently and asked her would she like if someone spoke to her in that manner. I even asked for a corporate number to make a formal complaint, she told me I could find another Dollar Tree to go to. I've been a Supervisor for over 20 years and my subordinates are never treated with disrespect from me. I've heard her call an employee stupid and that was it for me. I will never enter that store again as long as she's employed there. I will encourage my friends, neighbors and co-workers not to patronize as well. Her behavior is deplorable and should be looked into. No one should be treated with such blatant disrespect TERI!
