We came on December 31st, thinking that since it was New Year's Eve, there might be a wait. Surprisingly, there wasn't. That part was fine. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. The store felt disorganized and in a state of disarray, and I noticed several food items with expired dates, which is definitely something shoppers shouldn't have to worry about. What really bothered me, though, was the restroom situation. Both restrooms were marked "out of order." When I asked about it--because two seniors in our group needed to use them--an employee told me they do that so people won't ask for the key. That's unacceptable on many levels and honestly left a bad impression. Overall, it's not a terrible store, but is it worth nearly a 50-minute drive? No, it's not. Maybe I'll stop by again in the summer if I need garden supplies--but for now, this trip wasn't worth the distance.

And dozens of suitcases of all colors! If you need luggage you will love the variety here. I'm working in the area this week and happened to see this store which is near my hotel. The furniture is very nice and extremely reasonably priced. I found a couple of couches that I would have considered purchasing IF I wasn't 3 hours from home and IF I was driving a truck. There were men's Land's End shoes for $5 a pair. A great deal! In fact everything I saw was a very good deal. I've never seen a store like this before. A fun place to shop! If I lived nearer I would stop in frequently! We definitely don't have a store like this in Carmel where I live. I'll add that everything was well organized and prices were clearly marked. This store is very clean and tidy. I'll definitely stop in whenever I am working in this area.

Last Chance Overstock sells the things that didn't sell at other stores. It's the Island of Misfit Merchandise, if you will. (Will you?) My children had a fun time sitting in all of the chairs and couches around the store. A big portion of the store is dedicated to furniture, and the store-people are 100% OK with you and your children sitting on every couch and lying on every bed. My kids wanted to find the most comfortable couch, and they chose the one with plush corduroy that had cup holders and a USB plug. They wanted to buy it, but we live many miles away, and also, there is no way I'm inviting a couch with cupholders and a USB plug into my home. Get bent, kids. You need to look at the products carefully, because some of the things are a little worse for the wear. But for the most part, most of the items I saw at Last Chance looked perfectly fine. I wouldn't come here to find something specific, because inventory changes frequently, but this is a good place to browse and find a treasure.

Sav-a-Lot has been adding name brands rather than removing them, and at decent prices. Their huge 'Market Fresh' frozen pizza has become family favorites, under ten bucks. While I had my salmon already, I needed some teriyaki as a marinade, I was able to find teriyaki there, at save a lot. You're able to find most things here, and again they are reasonably priced. On top of that the bigger furniture pieces like consoles, lawnmowers, lawn furniture... the owner is charging more than it would be at a Marshall's or TJ Maxx... $300 for a lawnmower, $350 for a console (just check out FB Marketplace). Why they aren't opening the boxes as they come in and categorizing which table they'd belong is beyond my understanding. I also don't understand why there isn't prices on the furniture, seems as if they are haggling, giving different prices to different ppl. Needless to say I won't be back. There's a giant "Do Not Open" sign hanging, but there's a box opening station with knives towards the front of the store where you can open the boxes. Many if not all the items are from Amazon, so you can read the description on the stickers to look up details on Amazon website or app. This was helpful to know more about the item, especially if the box is not opened. None of the items I purchased were damaged or missing pieces. If you come on the last day (Wed. $1), expect to see a crowd of people combing through the bins. You can still find great bargains on the last day, albeit you'll find better items in the beginning of the sale cycle (Fri-Sun).
