A hop, skip and a jump from the office, they carry hot, fresh food on the fly so I can grab some Charlie Biggs' crispy fried chicken, or a fresh bowl of steaming, hot chili and be back at work lickety split. Also the store is dirty. Employees don't bother to pick up trash they are standing over. There is trash all over the parking lot and around the front of the store!?! Eighty five percent of the employees seem miserable, never smile, never offer to help. I would classify Publix as the Chick-fil-A of grocery stores and Kroger more like McDonalds.

I needed to rent a 10' truck for a one way move out of state. I called Mini's a few days before I…read moreneeded the truck to see if I needed to reserve one. The person on the phone said that if I was there on the date I needed that I wouldn't have to reserve and that a 10' truck would be available. I made sure that he knew I wanted the 10'. He said yes. When I arrived to pick up the truck I was told that the 10' trucks are just for local moves and not used for long distances. He then said I could get a 10' truck at another location but I would have to go online to put in the order. When I got to the next U-Haul place they didn't have a 10', even though I was told they did. So, the next step was driving further out. I went back to Mini's and ended up getting a 20' truck which of course was more money and gas. I later found out that 10' trucks are never available except for local moves. No one told me this when I was renting.

Stopped by on our way back home after a great weekend in Bardstown. We wanted to pick up some…read moresorghum syrup. We went inside and saw they had bacon, huge three pound sleeves of sausage. We had never had it before and I kind of hated to commit to three pounds of it, but we went ahead and bought it. Super friendly owner rang us up and we left. Cool thing was, after we got back on the road, we wanted to find a place to eat breakfast. We got off the beaten path and stopped at Crystal's Country Diner in Mount Washington, ( catch my review on this place!! ) where I had the best sausage I have ever had! When the owner came and introduced herself, I couldn't help but ask if they made that sausage in house. She was quick to let us know that it was from Old Delaney's! Needless to say, they will definitely be a stop when we return to Ky!
