I had done some research about what I was looking for, and ended up buying some 12mm Walnut that had been imported from Germany. They had just enough left to do my living room, which was 370 sqft., and I had purchased my flooring for $518 after tax. I couldn't be happier! They were excellent in helping me find it and load it up after I purchased it, and even let me take samples home. My brother went and purchased his flooring there as well, and he is also very happy with it. Like the earlier comments had stated, their merchandise is everywhere and prices vary. I've been there a few times, and this last time I was able to snag a blow up double twin mattress (that could be spread out to a king) for $5, and got the pump for $7. Not everything is a great deal, but most of the time you will still be paying less for it brand new out of the store, especially if you catch them when they are having one of their sales.

My house burned last year (arson), I had no insurance, no place to go, lived in the back of my…read moretruck in my driveway for a couple of months before I managed to get the world's crappiest trailer house moved in so I'd have shelter for the winter. I lost 35 pounds in just over a month from starvation because I'd spent the last bit of cash I had to buy food for my 11 year old deaf german shepherd, as I couldn't bear the thought of her going hungry, she was my kid's dog as they grew up and is more loyal than any human who ever lived. I was encouraged by several people to go to crosslines ministries in Neosho and ask for help. Reluctantly, after a couple of months, I did. They refused unless I was able to produce a document from the fire marshal stating that my house did in fact burn. Just what I needed to do, spend money on gas I couldn't afford just to chase down a document that shouldn't have been necessary (they could've called the fire marshal and verified anything they wanted to within just a few moments). After this piece of red tape was handled, I was informed they'd put together a "fire victim" package. I wasn't sure what this meant but at this point I'd had the trailer moved in and was glad to be getting some help, as I had absolutely no household goods left. I was told I could pick up the package the next day and did so. Now let me pause here: if you've ever been in their thrift store, you'll notice that they have some very nice things there, all donated, they don't pay a penny for their inventory. I'd expected the package to consist of a few household goods, those things that would help give the minimum creature comforts after losing everything to a fire, maybe some clothing, and possibly a chair or two, a small table....even imagined their might be a fridge in the deal, though didn't expect it. When I picked up the package, it turned out to be a small-ish fruit box (banana box, in fact) that had 2 flat sheets, queen size (not that it mattered, I didn't have a bed), mismatched and uglier than homemade sin....obviously something they couldn't sell....2 cups, both chipped, a couple of plates (not matching), a plastic drinking cup with a stain in it that couldn't be scrubbed out, the ugliest napkin holder ever made (again, something they couldn't sell, and why would a napkin holder be something they'd put in a box for someone who's home just burned?) and a few bent and mismatched pieces of dinner ware. I'm not one to look down my nose at a gift, but this was more like a slap in the face or a kick in the jewels than any attempt to help me recover from my personal tragedy. i'd rather have been told to bugger off than to have them waste my time and precious gas money cutting through their piece of red tape and returning to pick up a box of useless junk they were only willing to give away because it would obviously never make them a penny in profit and only took up space. Crosslines ministries isn't a charity, it's a fraudulent organization using the law as a way to make big money and pay no taxes. I wouldn't walk back in the door of the place even if I were paid.
