It's cute on the outside and doesn't really look like a thrift store but fits in more with Route 66 nostalgia of the area. Once inside, it's about the size of a roomy two car garage or perhaps the family room in a large private home. Not a lot to see, really. They have pretty dated merchandise and pricing is a simple scheme where almost every item is the same price. So with that, you can find some amazing deals and then a lot of things that are not quite worth the price. It's a wash, really. I saw an ad for this store in a local magazine and I think my expectations were a bit too high going in. It's not bad. Currently they're open Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm, so hurry over if you're not a Baxter Springs resident and want to check it out. I think they're open most (if not all) weekdays, too.

There's a small "luxury" section as soon as you walk into the store and then the rest of the building is true thrifting. They have a wonderful selection of clothes and a good amount of homegoods, shoes, furniture, accessories, etc. They're a bit lacking in the toy and physical media departments but that's true of most thrifts in the area. They run sales frequently and those are the times that are most worth it to come. The people here are super friendly and helpful! The parking situation is a bit difficult because there's no parking lot, but there's lots of room around for street parking! As with any thrift store in the modern era, there are a few wacky prices, but WG Marketplace is genuinely much more fun to shop at than the usual haunts.
