While they had a lot of classic and domestic products, they do offer a decent amount of local beer, wine, and pre-mixed cocktails (even though the Untappd app said the local beer I was looking for wasn't sold anywhere in a 25 mile radius, Island Foods had it!). We came the week of Pony Penning, and the store makes a couple dozen cakes (see picture) to celebrate the occasion. The produce aisle is small, but they have enough that you could get a decent variety of fruits and vegetables for your stay. There's a pretty decent selection of meats here. I don't remember seeing too much non-frozen seafood, but I imagine it's hard to compete with the fresh catch with specialty fish markets on the island. I was pleasantly surprised to find several Gardein products, which meant vegetarian Child #1 could have some imitation meats and seafood if he wanted a protein similar to what the rest of his omnivorous family would get. Things are pricey. Inflation's here to stay and it's a touristy beach town. Considering that, it's not too bad. The folks at the register were very friendly. Whatever foodstuffs you're looking for, it's a good bet that Island Foods has it.

The clothes look like good quality. The store is well stocked and organized!! The clothes have a good variety of colors to choose from. The also have key chains, beach wear, boogie boards, beach toys and etc. Some of the items are kinda pricey, but there are some reasonable prices as well. I can't comment on customer service because no one interacted with me or greeted me. This is a nice place to stop by if you're in town. When I was making my coffee I couldn't help but notice the flies having a family reunion by the coffee area. It was a lot! I don't know what it is, but this adorable little town has flies everywhere in certain places. So I learned to get over it!! Other than that, the store was clean and had anything you'd need if you can't get to an actual store. But some prices were high for household items. I needed one roll of toilet paper, and it was $4.69. I don't know whose booty deserves that kind of love, but not mines!! Lol. They also serve chicken, breakfast items, and sides. The breakfast empanada I got was good. The decaf coffee was ok, but a little weaker than I'd like. There's even discounted cigarettes for $2.99 that aren't popular or aren't selling. That's a good deal! But I don't detour from my regular cigarettes. But if you'll smoke anything, you can't beat the price!! All in all it's a decent store. The staff was nice. We got two 'small' subs and two sides and half of everything got saved for another meal. We selected the potato salad and the macaroni salad. Our subs were the Italian Cold Cut and the American Cold Cut. This shop has a nice selection of soft drinks and juice, adult beverages (beer and wine) as well as snacks and some items you may have forgotten to bring on vacation like bug spray. They also sell VA lottery tickets and have a few gas pumps.
