A great garden center and a smart home center where you can design and order entire houses! We found plenty of friendly help who seemed engaged and ready to help if you needed it. It's a fun store to shop combining a great selection, competitive prices and several ways to get into the parking lot. Some people will be able to do all their shopping here with canned and dry goods, cleaning supplies, bathroom soaps and lotions, snacks, frozen foods and many upper Midwest canned goods like honey and jams. It's hard to call it a hardware store, maybe a home center, lumber yard, construction supplies, grocery store and garden center? Whatever way you define it, Menards is a welcome shopping experience in Joplin. Check it out!

Okay, I love TJ Maxx. First time at this particular one in Joplin. A little odd set up from what I…read moream used to. It's actually inside the Northpark Mall with an interior entrance. It is smaller than the TJ Maxx's I frequent, but still plenty of great deals and merchandise. It's currently under renovation to expand the dressing rooms. I just noticed The Body Shop products in TJ Maxx this week. I am not sure if this is new to the chain or I am just now noticing it. I am not really a Body Shop girl, but for those who are - - might be some good deals. This location seemed to have an abundance of salon quality hair products - Matrix, Rusk, Big Sexy Hair, etc. Seriously, I use to by my products from the salon (years ago)...not a chance I would do that now. No reason to waste the money when you can find them so much cheaper at places like TJ Maxx and Marshall's. I wear Saucony Oasis tennis shoes. They were over $100 when I first bought them in a running store. For months now, I have found these same Saucony's in TJ Maxx for $34.99. Oh yah!. I have them in every color. I actually had not seen them in a bit, but luck was on my side and found a great pair of purple ones. Yep, another pair of cheap Oasis added to the collection. I also love unique stationery and cards. I found the cutest box of Chihuahua greeting cards. They weren't a great "deal" (but I am tight!), but I had to have them. I regularly shop at these similar types of stores (TJ Maxx, Marshall's, Gordman's, Ross) and this location had some quality stuff from cosmetics, shoes, clothing to housewares. I am rarely in Joplin, but if I am - I would certainly take the time to return to this location.

A few snacks, some tshirts and some beer. What's not to love about the Walmart Supercenter?…read more The cart corrals were clear and there was no litter in the parking lot. The store was laid out easily with both men's and women's wear neatly stacked. Grocery area was stocked and tidy. Nearly all of the front end has been converted to self-checkout though there were two associates with mobile devices pointing out open lanes. It seems like the closer you get to Bentonville, the better the shopping tends to be. [Review 302 of 2025 - 425 in Missouri - 23864 overall]

After having an oil change and diagnostics done at a REAL mechanic on my car I was told my battery…read morelife was lower than recommend and I should look at replacing it. I was in town so I called Walmart to see if I needed an appt to get a specific battery installed or if I could walk in. I was told for this battery I could walk in, purchase, and they would install. This was the first lie. My husband went in and purchased the battery and after the fact Jason the auto "manager" said he wouldn't install it unless he bought a different battery. This was after already confirming there was installation. We ended up placing the battery in my car and immediately knew something was wrong because the battery light came on and the AC was not blowing consistently. This didn't even happen with my OLD battery I was told to replace. We took their battery back out and replaced it with my old battery and my husband returned to the store to exchange it for a new battery and the one they claim is the only one they offer install on. This is when Maya and Anthony decided to lie to a manager and tell them we are having car problems. It is not a problem with MY car when your battery doesn't work. I have proof of diagnostics on my car that there is nothing wrong with it and no dash light was on when I replaced it with my old battery. Jason said he "wasn't comfortable" putting a battery in my car claiming there was a problem with it when he didn't look at it or run diagnostics. It's very interesting because I have heard from numerous people that Jason actually doesn't replace the oil cap when he changes people's oil, causing more problems and money spent. But apparently when it involves a battery, or a Hispanic trying to have work done, he has "top notch" judgement in mechanics. Then, after speaking with Kristen on the phone she said there is no reason any of this should have happened and to return to the store to exchange the battery. She said we would need to speak to a "high level" manager to resolve this. So I go back to the store and I talk to Zach who claims to be a high level manager but I saw no evidence of this. His lack of managerial experience, accountability for his staff, and resolution was alarming. His name tag also said he was in stocking so I am unsure what relevance that has to management or to the auto center. Zach continued to regurgitate the lie of the auto department stating they would not return or exchange their faulty battery claiming that it was a problem with my car that they have never put hands on. He took no responsibility for the behavior of staff and he was recording me and every other customer there without consent using his Meta Glasses. I'm not sure what Walmarts policy is on staff recording customers but this is something everyone in that store should be aware of. Ultimately I left, contacted corporate, went to AutoZone who changed the battery for me, confirmed that Walmart sold me a faulty battery, and went to a different walmart location who DID refund me on the battery.
