They were out of some things I know they carry at other Dollar General stores, and other sections needed straightening out. It was amusing seeing all the labels and stickers all over the floor. The floor wasn't necessarily dirty, but that stuff stuck to the floor might make you think otherwise. This store definitely benefits from not having any similar types of stores stores in the immediate area apart from the local Hannaord.

While my favorite Job Lot is the one in Ballston, this one is now the one closest to me, given that the Albany store closed a few years ago and has not reopened elsewhere. I immediately realized the taste was off and they were stale. i looked at the bag and it had a best used date of 07/27/24. I called French's and they stated I should call the store due to the fact that they are responsible for checking stock. I called the store and they said there was nothing they could do because their policy is not to removed products from the shelfs until they are 45 days PAST their best used by date. I don't have the time to check every use by date on every single food item I buy. I will not be using this store anymore.

They have a butcher shop and farmers market inside where they carry all sorts of meats and fresh produce, locally made baked goods, milk, the freshest of eggs, yogurt and cheeses! What a delight! Karen, the woman who runs the counter, is incredibly friendly and helpful! She goes out of her way to help her customers. I look forward to chatting with her every time I go. The one thing to be aware of though is that they are only open Friday, Saturday and Sundays. Tip for the wise: Don't go too late or everything will be picked over!
