I went there 2 months ago to get quart jars. The cashier was very pleasant! The store was well organized!

The "4 month warranty" is a lie they will not honor. I called several times for them to service, the tech did several no calls no shows. After 2 weeks, my husband popped up at the store to ask what's going on with our appointment. When the tech finally came, he was rude, unwilling to listen to our concerns and eager to leave. We even heard him complaining about us in Spanish on the phone. He told us the leak is because "the ice box is not closed properly." My husband said, "NO! you need to take a better look!" and he grudgingly pulled the back to find the valve was broken. He ordered the part and came back a week later to install. After that, the fridge was STILL leaking. I called, left text messages and sent pictures of the leaks with No response from the tech. Not to mention, the water always had a funny taste. They told us to get a new filter and still after 3 filter changes, the water never tasted right. After multiple failed attempts for contact, I reached out to an appliance repair company. As soon as the tech looked at the fridge, he knew right away this entire unit was trash. It looked pretty from the outside, but once he pulled all the drawers out, he showed me how every component was rusted over from inside all the way to the back. When he shined his flashlight through the inside of the ice box and water dispenser, there was MOLD all throughout. To think my family and kids were drinking this MOLDY WATER for several months is absolutely frightening! Please educated yourself. There's a reason why they are selling this refurbished equipment for so cheap. This company is dishonest! Save yourself the time and money and go buy brand new where you can get a warranty from the manufacturer and reputable organization that you purchase from.

Today while pulling my cart to the curb, a very gruff manager said "no carts outside." I had to…read moreremove several bags one by one, which is ridiculous and- which is a policy that this store did not have before . .. I asked the manager why the change in policy & he just gave a short answer . If that is the change , fine , but - WHEN EXPLAINING, WHY NOT GIVE A MORE CLEAR, AND VERBALLY COMPLETE ANSWER LIKE- We changed the policy because people are stealing carts. Fine - but just to snap at customers like you're some drill sergeant , no, that totally sucks. There's no reason to treat people like shit or to verbally disrespect people by words or by verbal inflection. ... Anyway, next time I'll go to Glen Burnie Walmart & if it costs twice as much it's well worth it- Any other store is fine as long as I don't have to deal with that very rude manager who refuses to even try a few coherent logical sentences . My thing is - I just spent $$ in your store- stop verbally abusing me via your tone of voice/ IT IS ABUSIVE! ... This message goes out to the Roses manger at Brooklyn Park MD Roses. ... The customer writing this is me (Lawrence Mullin- Brooklyn Baltimore) .. I was disappointed in the last minute at this store based on the dismissive and authoritarian way I was talked at & if I were manager I would be : more articulate, talk in more complete sentences, and (Oh my God is this allowed in America anymore as it was in the 1970s?)- and that is : for heaven sakes let's just use our common sense & bend the rules sometimes . Let's at least try to use some higher level thinking skills rather than just "enforcing" mindless asinine rules. ... Next time- it's Walmart . Amen

With all due respect, I am writing this review with a major complaint regarding Roses store. Since…read morelast year, the air conditioning in the store has not been working. My 73 year old mother and I visited the store on Friday July 16, 2021 and I was astonished that the AC in the store was STILL not working. They had two large floor fans in the store but unless you were standing in front of them, you could not feel the air; much less it was circulating hot air in the store. The store should be shut down to due health concerns. They obviously do not care about their employees as well. Having them work in those conditions with small fans. I spoke with the employees and none of them were happy working in the store due to the heat, but as they stated "I need a paycheck", so I can understand and I sympathize with them. I am assuming the business can not be thriving due to the broken AC as there were not many people in the store. The only reason I shopped in the store was because I needed a few things for my house, and since I was there I figured I might as well grab what I can. By the time I was done shopping my hair was wet and my clothes stuck to my body. My mother had to stay by the fan for the air due to her having COPD. I will NEVER shop in Roses store at this location again. I am in search of another location!

There are things I loved about this gigantic store and things that left me fuming as I walked out…read morethe door. My first rating was 3 stars; but given that I spent over $100 (not including the 25% off I got because it was a Thursday) and look forward to going back, I think 4 is fairer. New digs, so I need new furnishings. Decided to thrift shop for home decor and essentials before paying for new. Scored some really great deals! Like an ironing board for $5.99. Billy Squire greatest hits CD for $1.99. (No judgement!) Lots of baskets and containers for storage, new lampshades, a looks-like-new baking pan, and a bunch of other similar items. There are rows and rows and rows of household items, grouped by a top category (such as kitchen appliances), then subcategory (such as coffee makers. Bedding, then King sheets. Furniture, lamps. Etc. You get the idea.) Then there are categories for Wood Decor, Plastic, Metal, etc. Rows and rows of clothing are similarity grouped: Jeans, grouped by size. Shoes, books, purses, toys... everything. This makes it so much easier to find what you are looking for than at places that group by color. (What "color" does butter dish fall under??) Loved all that. Didn't like: 1) No fitting rooms. I wasn't shopping for clothing, but if I had been... I don't buy any garments without first trying them on. Covid, perhaps, but still... 2) To use the bathroom, you have to first find an associate to unlock the door. When a person was trying on a cart full of clothes in the bathroom, the associate said he is "not getting involved with that." Um... can you at least call for a manager, then? 3) Finally, there were 4-6 Self-checkout stalls and no wait. Literally, no one was checking themselves out. Great! I love checking myself out so I can take my time, ensure the correct price, and review whether I really want to buy something. So I begin. Then I hear a bellow (really, a bellow) from the lone cashier telling me, "You can't check out there! I need to check you out." I look around--is she talking to me? She was. I gather all the stuff I'd already rung up and get in the long line for the only cashier. At some point, a new cashier took over so I asked the original cashier--very politely--why I couldn't self-check. Because I had too much stuff, she said. Ok, I get that... but maybe there should be a sign? Maybe you could be less militant about it? As I'm in line, I see a guy try to ring up a guitar at the self checkout. Now there is an employee there who tells him he can't, he has to get in line for the cashier, too. He looks as annoyed as I. Finally it's my turn. I have a cart full. I feel bad because there's now a line of people behind me. No time to ruminate about my purchases or check prices. The new cashier is no friendlier than the original. She also seems annoyed. Maybe because she sees a line of people for her, while the self checkout lanes are empty. I don't get it. Seriously, I'm baffled. But I did get a nice head start on home decorating, so there's that.

Always great finds! The vast store offers opportunity for the savvy shoppers.Always visit when…read moreI am in town.
