Always on the hunt for new game places, my husband and I found Discount Hobby. I was a little…read morenervous because they have a review stating they aren't LGBTQIA+ friendly but I decided to give them a chance and found that not to be the case. The owner was super friendly and talked to me about my Bob's Burgers wallet. I took the risk and asked how he felt about Marshmellow and her friends, who rep the community in the show, and he told me how he loved the Christmas episode that highlighted the community. Maybe he played me to get on my good side, but he seemed genuine. Discount Hobby mostly has comics but they also had d&d figures, mtg cards and some dice. They don't have room for tabletop tournaments but they had some cheap 1 color dice that I was looking for that the other place we went to didn't have. I was looking for dice for my hufflepuff d&d character I'm building so we can to a rpg of Harry Potter. I was able to get a set of 7 yellow dice with black pips for only $4.08 ($3.85+tax). They will look great in my Hufflepuff dice bag. Next time I'm in the area I would consider coming here because the owner seems cool and the dice were cheap. While I do like Perfect Storm, and will probably go there for tournaments, Discount Hobby is a great place to check to see if they have certain items cheaper. It was worth the stop while in the Battle Creek area and plan on coming back.
