The last time I went, on the 2nd of October, I just ordered some fries for a snack. The lady behind the counter was friendly and she urged me to buy some of the fried okra. I decided to try it. Turned out that the fries were hard and like leather, the okra was massively overcooked, and they tasted like old grease. She barely gave me any fries and literally PACKED the rest of the container with the burnt okra, I guess in an attempt to get rid of it before her boss saw it. He was there, I know this because I know him from school. I am very disappointed because I have, up to now, always had a positive experience here. This is extra upsetting because this is the only time I get to eat anything besides my own cooking, since I come here once a month. This place and a local pizza place are the only decent food purveyors in the area. I hope this was just a bad day and not an ongoing trend.
