This Publix is a pit stop for me when traveling to Birmingham. I've had to pick up gift bags, bottles of wine for gifts, sub sandwiches and even just a bathroom break. It's a larger Publix, but I really enjoy the greater selections. Service is pleasant. I'm certain I'll return. read more

I came here to buy something in order to get cash back. This is a really nice Publix and seem to be very popular on a late Saturday afternoon. The store was nice and clean. Staff friendly and helpful. They have an amazing wine selection. The seafood department caught my eye as well. We usually stop at this Publix when the kids have track meets in Oxford. It's conveniently located and it has an ATM outside, which comes in handle. It is on par with the Publix locations we visit in our area. read more

I had a pick up order today for my father in law and waited 35 minutes for the order. Called twice and was told order was on the way out. After the order came out I asked why it took so long. The man gave me different answers. i was not happy with his lack of the truth. He left to go inside . I went inside to use the restroom and lo and behold there he is saying crap about me to other people . What the hell is wrong with the employees there is this common for the employees to bad mouth customers. read more

Super friendly and well staffed! When I am working in the Oxford Exchange right across from this Publix, I will sometimes stop by and buy a mini charcuterie board and a drink or some healthy choice! They have a great selection and friendly staff! I definitely recommend! read more

This is about the bakery. I have ordered two cakes in the last month and twice they had something wrong. The first one was suppose to have vanilla cake but I got chocolate cake. The second was a graduation cake and I specifically asked for raspberry filling and nothing. By the time we cut into them, it's too late to do anything. I love this store. But will not be getting a cake there again. read more

I used to like this Publix. Friendly people willing to help now it seems like we are bother to the staff. The check out clerks don't even acknowledge you they are too busy talking to each other. The people who put out the merchandise are rude. -not all but it seems like the newer staff seem to think you are bothering them if you reach to get something when the are putting the product away. The newer checkout clerks don't even ask if you found everything you needed. Overall a depressing experience and I am going to try to find another Publix. read more

Publix is one of my favorite grocery store chains so I'm always excited to go. I've been to this location many times and I'm always impressed with their selection of items because it's in such a small town, middle of nowhere Alabama! But they still sell delicious cheeses, specialty items, and other things most grocery stores around don't sell. The employees are always friendly and the store is clean. I happened to go this year on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving for some last minute foods. The parking lot was PACKED so I feared the worst as I parked far away to walk in and get what I needed. Despite the full lot, the store didn't seem uncomfortably crowded and all the employees seemed calm and cool. I was impressed! My trip didn't take 4 hours like I thought it might, so it was overall a very pleasant trip on one of the busiest grocery store days of the year. I highly recommend this Publix if you're in the Oxford area and want high quality foods. read more

Very nice Publix, it was surely needed in this area! I travel up here for the military & the only options were Target & Walmart. Finally a better option & this location is similar to a Whole Foods setup. I love the healthy option of Publix & the way they treat there customers. I'll be back again & again! They also have a delicious & cheap lunch offering, they offer sub sandwiches or a hot bar option! A must try! read more

This store is my Happy Place. Cooking is a major part of how I make my living and I am in this store about once a week. All of the employees are super helpful and friendly. That said, the meat, seafood, bakery and deli departments have all went out of their way to accommodate a special request I have had. They have also done so with a smile on their face and genuine curiosity as to what's on my menu for that week. I could not speak more highly of a place of business. I love Publix but had a bad experience with the deli lady..My husband and son was passing through coming from Huntsville on our way back to Atlanta where we stay.I waited in line for a sandwich for 15mins standing 6 feet behind the guest that was ordering,the deli lady was making his sandwich and making eye contact with me who was coming and going..Needless to say some lady and her son strolled up like maybe 5mins before she finished making the guy sandwich in front of me,The deli lady told me she had to get her before me I just stood there with my mouth open like didn't you just see me? After she saw how upset I was she said that she didn't know who was 1st (really lady?) I said ummm me I was here 1st but at that point I was passed that she would be Ben day she didn't know who was there 1st.I left and went to Customer service and told what happened back in the deli to the young lady at the desk she didn't look to helpful but she listened...Coming from Georgia where public gets it right every time I was disappointed so I wanted someone to know what was going on back in the deli..Some other person probably would of cause a scene but it wasn't that serious over a sandwich..I just took my service elsewhere and will not be back to this Publix. read more

I used to work for Publix, so I know the standards. This one is lacking. Specials are blown out of stock on a regular basis. The meat dept doesn't know what 1 inch is. I got a rib roast cut up, and the cuts were half inch. I bought a ready made curry chicken that had a bone in it. C'mon guys. Step it up. read more

Stopped in while traveling west. This is probably one of the best Publix's I've ever been in; well stocked with interesting foodstuffs, a large bakery, the deli quickly made my Ultimate Sub Combo, and (most importantly) the beer and wine selection was vast! The subs are HUGE, piled high with veggies and meat. If you're in the area, definitely give it a shot. read more

Usually Publix here in my area, OXFORD Al, is courteous and respectful however yesterday I experienced dIfferent at the meat department. While deciding on which meat and after waiting my turn , one of the men ( not gentleman) stepped in front of me to help a customer ( a male) as though I wasn't there . After looking on the website ,what bothers me more is I think the CEO was standing back there at the time (Mr. Jones) talking to a group including this guy. Use to love this Publix but over the past year the bakery has really gone down hill especially after today. I will never use this bakery again for any reason. I was in there shopping and actually saw one of the employees working on a cake and she licked icing off her finger and continue to work on the cake. This is not only unacceptable but disgusting as well. I would expect more from Publix but if this is the kind of standards and employees you hire then I will won't be back. read more

My husband is very sick and uses Boost on a regular basis. Needless to say when I can purchase it on sale and have coupons, I purchase it. I went to the Oxford, AL location and was told I was limited to three packs. This was not disclosed in their sale paper. When I questioned it, I was told "We don't want our customers saving that much money". Excuse me? Since the coupons require that you buy 2---purchasing 3 pkgs would prevent using one of the Publix coupons. But without buying 3 you would lose the $5 off sale price. Pretty good plan on Publix part. If Publix does not want you to use THEIR coupons they should not offer them but baiting people is definitely not good business and telling customers that they don't want their customers to save money is simply stupid. read more

Deli has very unfriendly ladies. I understand that foods set out has time limits on them to be taken up after the time is up. But for the women to take the item out of your shopping cart and tell you the time is up when the time stamp shows it still has 30 minutes to go. That's going to far.
