I asked if he was okay and another employee said that he had been diagnosed with the flu and was still forced to work. I took my sandwich, of course and paid for it, it was not the man's fault. But I wasn't even able to eat it after knowing that. I honestly lost my appetite. The boys coworker said they have even had to work the DELI with COVID. I asked a different lady who the manager was and she said that she was not there at the time but her name was Brenda. Even federal guidelines say that sick individuals with contagious diseases should not be working while contagious. Two days later I got the flu. All because of Ingles. These people are being punished because of trying to be responsible. That is completely unfair to the employees and a danger to the public.

The entire process, which is designed for convenience, took over 30 minutes to fix. The store and call-in support systems need to be drastically improved to allow for immediate corrections on-site.

After I waited for 15 minutes with other items roasting in my car in 90° weather, the Customer Service with authority to help me (who had told a fellow employee that she would help me) returned with three or four boxes of 12 mini diet cokes. I reiterated that I only wanted 2 six packs of the mini cans, none of which were on the shelf. She told me there were none in back. I asked her if since there weren't any of what I needed, I had to pay full price for the larger box that I did not want or if she could give me a discount (maybe the same price as 12 would cost in the BOGO?). She dismissively told me that I had to pay full price if I only bought one box. I consider that neither "working with me" as a customer nor Customer "SERVICE." frankly, I was shocked and appalled at her attitude and lack of desire to help a customer. She had no apparent desire to help me as one of her customers. Her attitude does not reflect the customer orientation that I have known in any other Publix in any state in my life. I am grateful that there are now two Publixes in LaGrange and I will do all that I can to shop at the Publix at Merganser Commons instead of the one on Commerce in the future.

The staff has been a pleasure to deal with and I have not met an employee who was not willing to help me with anything I needed. Every time I check out, the person who bags the groceries asks if I want them to take my groceries to my vehicle for me although I am completely capable so I always say no as other customers need this assistance much more than me. I have also dealt with the upper management and they have gone out of their way to help with any specific needs which unlike Wal-Mart, makes you feel like a person and not a number. I'm pretty certain Publix wants you to return so they treat you like they would want to be treated. Four stars and that's being completely honest. The grocery part of the store is my "go to" store in Centre. The store is clean and neat. I love the meat section and their selection. The bread is priced a little high. They have a candy selection that is out of this world. The produce is fresh and very affordable. The manager (Dennis) is a nice guy; he reminds me of Dan from Roseanne. If in Centre....forget Walmart...go to Ingles.
