Black Friday of Amazon Returns…read more Have you ever wondered what you would get if you bought one of those Amazon return shipping crates you see on Facebook from time to time? Well, here you get to get a second pick of those pallets. The inside is very much a hodgepodge of broken boxes and random items. To entice others, they leave a few items of reasonable cost stuck in the detritus of shelves, they also hide a premium table in the middle of the store where you get to fight a mob of fellow shoppers for some of the picks of the litter. It's entertaining in a thrift store with fomo mentality. Some items are worth the splurge, but most are very random specialty parts of questionable quality or weird and funky items you never really knew existed. Give it a try if you're brave, but temper expectations. It can be a random waste of a couple hours, but sometimes you find the diamond in the rough, and getting the bargain can be a win as well

Plenty of consumable household supplies, home textiles, dishes, cookware, and books. They also have some craft supplies, food, hardware, toys, cheap electronics, and more. I went back to the store to ask if I could exchange the $30 worth of litter and they said no man by that description works there and no they won't do any exchange or store credit. Filled with as-is items discarded by the University -- including desks, dressers, washing machines, TVs, computer monitors, UConn apparel, and more -- you can really score a deal here. Dressers and desks for $5-10? They've got them here. Buy one, get one free TVs? They've got them here too. Sales are cash only with no ATM on site and no "customer service" (obviously). If you want a good deal, I would advise getting here early. I'm pretty sure all the big sells were gone when I arrived at 1pm. You don't have to take home what you buy that day -- you can pick up your merchandise any Tuesday or Thursday afternoon (1-3pm) before the next sale, otherwise it's going back on the shelf for resale. Just an FYI: All clothing and shoes are taxable goods. Not a bad place to check out if you can remember not to miss it!

They have more curtains under one roof than I have ever seen in my life put together. You really have to look to find something good, but it's totally worth it. $25 for insulated and lined curtains for a slider... yeah I'm okay with that!
