I came in looking for a…read morespecific item, something I had found at the Dollar Tree on Georgia Street but when I wanted more they didn't have them on Soncy. I happened to be driving past this location so I pulled in and sure enough they had the item. I bought three of them so I wouldn't run out again soon. I was super impressed by how huge this particular Dollar Tree is. I have been in here before but I didn't remember it being so big and having possibly the widest selection of merchandise of any of them. I'll have to remember that when I need something in the future because it's not that far away for me. I wandered around and found most of what I was after and a few other items I can use as well. I again needed a box, like on a previous visit a year-and-a-half ago. This time I encountered two employees that were so super nice that one of them emptied a box for me of stuff that was ready to be put away anyway because it was just the right size. I had my tape measure with me to measure it. While he was getting the box ready I was talking with the other one and he was super nice and gave me some information about a couple products I was interested in and I ended up buying them thanks to his recommendation. Kudos to Pete and Godfrey for being so helpful to this customer!

Unacceptable and hostile behavior toward children at the 45th & Bell location…read more My children and husband and I went into the store and wanted to purchase stickers from the vending machine. After running out to our vehicle to get quarters, they walked back inside, and the checker immediately began screaming at my 10-year-old son, pointing at him, and falsely shouting, "Don't be stealing!" Even more disturbing, this same worker openly told another customer right in front of us that "sometimes he wants to punch kids in the face but he doesn't want to lose his job." We immediately dropped our basket and walked out. Falsely accusing young children and making verbal threats of physical aggression toward kids is completely unhinged. This has been reported to Dollar Tree Corporate. Families with children should avoid this location until proper safety and staffing adjustments are made.

They had gotten in some eyelash yarn, a lot of it, and a beaded necklace had fallen into it and caused everything to get into a tangled mess almost the size of a basketball. I told the guy I was willing to work on untangling it if would he sell it to me for a bulk price. He said sure and now I have something to keep me busy all evening, LOL. The only problem was he was cutting some of the yarn off to release the ball from the other yarn in the bin and that will throw off my measurements when I make eyelash scarves so I might have to go back and buy some more before it's all gone. Everybody was just real cheerful and pleasant and I found the things I needed, at least mostly.

I was driving around downtown looking at the sights and remembered that I was getting low on cough…read moredrops for the tickle in my throat so when I spotted this Dollar Tree I pulled in. It seemed to have a good selection of various items and appeared clean and well-organized. I found the cough drop section but they didn't have the licorice flavored ones I've grown fond of. I bought some cherry ones instead. I came across some purple mesh tote bags that looked handy so I bought one of those to try out. I had been checking various stores for a pad of blank paper that might be thick enough to use for practice painting and hadn't found anything suitable but they had a pad that looked like what I had in mind so I got that too. Add in a cheap quality lei with lavender flowers I can use for crafting and a silver nail polish. Spent a whopping $5 and left with what I needed. I couldn't do a check in because there was no listing for this location so I created this one. I took a photo before I left the parking lot, too. I sent the information off to Yelp today. We'll see how long it takes them to post the listing. Hopefully not long at all.

Has there ever been a town I visited where I haven't gone into the Dollar Tree? I needed a few…read moreitems, they had some of them but not others. Naturally the things that you see all the time you suddenly can't find when you need them. I just bought some Basics like salt and pepper, sandwich baggies, coffee creamer, a cheap doormat to wipe my feet on so I don't keep getting muddy footprints in the motel room, some cute butterfly stickers, some flavor packets for my water and some Post-it notes. At least when I go in the Dollar Tree I know where to find things and have a pretty good idea what their stock is.

I realize when I park that it was after 9 p.m. but I think this one must be open till 10. That seems to be the trend these days. I picked up eight or 10 items I needed. I had no trouble finding all but one item that I was after and when I asked the cashier about it she checked with another employee, possibly a manager, who went back and looked and darned if she didn't find the item that I was after even though I hadn't found it when I looked. I was greatly appreciative and appreciated the customer service as well as the item itself. Everyone was friendly and helpful and I left happy.

But if you're just looking for cheap stuff to hold you temporarily or because you don't need better quality items then you're better off going to Dollar Tree and sometimes even cheaper at Walmart. If you live close and you don't have a car or your car is on the blitz then I'm sure the store would be very appreciated if you could walk to it.
