This store out in Alden is one of my faves in the Buffalo area, because it has the waters I like, although not always as many of them as I need. If I take the back roads, I can get here from my house in 12 minutes, 36 seconds. Give or take 36 seconds. The guy working here is really nice, and one time when I forgot my coupon, he gave me one. I mean he gave me a coupon. Minds out of the gutter please. I was surprised that there were some shady characters in the parking lot. I always thought of Alden as being pristine and posh. Actually, it's kinda sad for me because for many years I lived within 5 minutes drive of this store with my best friend, and things didn't work out, and I'm "covered in shells" as the hypermelodramatic Gwen Stefani might say. But that's another story for another day. I just don't have a single person on earth to talk to about it, because I'm usually the person other people talk to about things in their lives, and I don't want to be that person so I keep it inside. Some days it's easier to deal with, I don't even think about it. Other days I start randomly crying, or feeling lost or completely broken, panicked and confused, like I made a wrong turn or lost something vital to my survival and future... or I think of her alone, doing things like shopping at Pixley's, or worse, just being on a couch alone, or sleeping alone, and that's when I really can't take it. But what does all this have to do with Pixley's, I hear you say. Nothing, I respond. And then change the subject. TFW Yelp is your therapist. (Hey it's cheaper than a therapist). This is a very cute and medium-sized and very friendly and pretty expensive grocery store in Akron. It is comprable to Dash's Markets, of which there are none in Akron, but there's one over in Clarence and a few others in Buffalo. So if you've shopped at Dash's Markets before then you know what you're getting with Pixley. It's usually pretty good and my BFF likes shopping here a lot and I've only been here a few times but I've never had a bad experience.
