The pickup was easy, except for finding the car. The rows in the entire rental car lot are organized in a way that makes no sense. The Dollar Rental at the Greenville/Spartanburg airport was a joy compared to the Newark airport experience. My wife and I made it to the rental counter across from the airport and was greeted by a gentleman that was polite, fast and efficient (I know, not your typical experience). He got us on our way quickly and we were delighted that it took less than 5 minutes to get us on our way. The Newark Airport experience was one of the worst rental experiences we've encountered - be ready to be disappointed if renting from this location read more

They will not answer your call or email when you want to advise of a smoke smell in the vehicle after getting on the highway. For 26 days I wasn't answered. Then I was charged for the smoke smell that was in the car when I picked it up. Please do not accept a car from them with any damage or smells no matter how light. It's very likely that you'll be charged for the prior smell or damage. Can I get some negative stars here?!! read more

Excellent, friendly service with a quick check in and check out. It was probably the fastest I have ever gotten a car. They also didn't harass me trying to get me to do upgrades and addons like some car rental places. I will definitely use them again the next time I am back at GSP! read more

I used GSP/Spartanburg facility to rent instead of Dollar on 2429 S Highway 14. Greer, SC 29650, which I love because they always have the best cars and exceptional customer service. However, at GSP they seem to have cars that are not has classy, they started with a Corolla that thank goodness the car stated it needed mechanical help, so I was upgraded to a better vehicle. Absolutely a horrible experience with Dollar in SC. Rented a car on a Wednesday set to return on Friday (3 days). On Friday went to get in car to return to airport. Car would not start. Tried jumping it off; obvious dead battery. Was not able to get the car started. Was running out of time to catch flight and I was still one hour from airport. Called road side assistance; said they would be there in 90 minutes which was way too long. Gave them address where car was parked and told them to come and get it. Figured I would deal with them after I had returned home. Upon my return I contacted the Greer location and got no response when I asked for some type of concessions. I am still waiting on the "manager" ALEX to call me back. I have disputed the entire charge on my cc until resolution is complete. A total lack of customer service. read more

Young lady at check in was very friendly and extremely efficient. Had me checked in within minutes and zero issues. VW Jetta worked well for the week's rental. Checkout was also pretty easy overall. My rental experience was great! Only tip I would provide to those booking on a third party site, their office doesn't open until 9 a.m., so if you arrive outside of their business hours, the phone goes to voicemail and it isn't clear who you have reached. I didn't have a big selection of vehicles to choose from, it was either a mini van or truck, I was traveling by myself, when I returned it, I got everything out of vehicle and went to go inside and the note on the door said no shuttles, so I had to load everything back in and I left my sweater in the vehicle and they said they didn't find it read more

This is not directly onsite at the airport, however the shuttle came quickly and they were nice and accommodating. They upgraded my car to a minivan and I blew a tire the day I got it. Not Great but not bad. This location is not at the airport. It is only a few minutes ride on the shuttle but we had no idea until we arrived that we needed to call for a shuttle. After calling for the shuttle and being told they would be there in "just a minute", it took 15 minutes for them to arrive. The person who picked us up was also the person who did the paperwork for the rental. Only employee who was on duty. The size vehicle we reserved was not available and the only vehicle they had was a minivan, which they rented at the price of an mid-size. This was a plus. We were charged extra because we returned the van three hours earlier than planned. The person who picked us up and a different person that dropped us off were very congenial. read more

I had a great experience with Dollar Car Rental. The car was very nice and ran really well. I left my wallet in the car when I returned it. A Representative called to let me know they found my wallet. She told me that they would bring the wallet to me at the gate where I was waiting to board my plane. An officer brought it to me and he asked me to check to confirm that everything was in my wallet and everything thing including my money was there. Thank you! The money was important but I really appreciate getting my credit cards and identification info back. read more

Unprofessional service! Waiting so long 45' to get shuttle bus to go the office on highway 14, if we did not come to the Hertz to ask for help, we could wait more and Dollars would forget what to do. When check in at the office, it took so long to get a car. When I get the car, it was a pickup truck not a sedan. The bold guy said if I want the sedan I would pay more. And finally I must accept that giant car because having no choice. At the time I returned the car 1 hour earlier than booked schedule, Dollars did not refund the money when the service man promised to to đó that. It is a nightmare when renting a car at Dollars Greenville, South Carolina. Never recommend this to anyone else because its very bad service!!! read more

Fun place. They're not located at the airport but no one tells you that till you've landed. So you call the number you have and get a recording. But these guys are on top of things. A van pulls up just after I hang up on the recording. Friendly face driver who understands the situation promptly gets me to the location. Another friendly staff gets me into a car faster than any place I've ever rented from. "Here's the number if you need anything." Every employee we encountered was fabulous!! Our car was clean and worked great. The only reason I didn't give this location five stars was because there was only one employee working when we arrived at the airport. This location is a couple minutes' drive from the airport. The single employee had to shuttle us from the airport then care for us and three other customers who were ready for their vehicles before we left. We weren't in a hurry, but if we had been that would have been frustrating. We would rent from here again, though, because of the great customer service! read more

I purchased insurance for the rental during my booking process online. I was told during pickup that they didn't recognize 3rd party insurance and I had to get their coverage. Why have the option to pay for 3rd party insurance if it's not going to be accepted OR inform the renter during the booking process. Not a good experience at all. read more
