    I reserved a luxury option car last September for this recent visit to GSP to be available for pick…read moreup at 4:00pm, upon arrival to the kiosk I was informed that the car I reserved was being held by the manager for another client, I was also informed that there were no vehicles available. There were lines of customers around me being told the same story, I was only helped after escalating the situation after waiting almost 2 hours and was able to secure a KIA SUV to get me on my way. This started massive conflict not only with customers around me, but also arguments within your service staff, a very uncomfortable situation for everyone. Upon finding the vehicle, it was covered in a sticky solution like it had been washed with a can of soda and the interior was not much better. The inside had footprints on the seats, grass on the carpet and the dash and controls were also sticky, visibility through the windshield was limited as it looked like a toddler was let loose in the vehicle with a leaking sippy cup and a runny nose! I am grateful that I was able to secure a vehicle, but reserved a luxury car for this trip for a specific purpose and a KIA SUV was not the ideal choice. This and I was forced to spend $30 at a local car wash to have the vehicle cleaned inside and out to make it driveable. I understand this is the holiday season, but I expect to get what I pay for, especially when reserved that far in advance. I feel I was cheated, let down and way overcharged for what I received. Very disappointed and unacceptable, I will definitely be looking at other options for my next trip. On a side not, the service agent helping me had the personality of a pet rock and was not able to move much faster that frozen molasses pouring from a glass bottle, there has to be a way to make this process more efficient as I can't say I have ever seen anything like it. (DMV is close, but at least you get what you pay for there!)

NO WAY 6 adults can fit in a Ford Fusion but it's that or NOTHING. All other car rental agencies are sold out!!!MAD is an understatement!!! UBER BLACK IT IS.

I'm not too fond of these small airport National locations where you have to go to a desk (something else I absolutely hate) and check in and finish the transaction where they give you a key and ask if you're OK with the vehicle they selected. On this visit, the vehicle they offered was nice, it was an Audi. But the last time I used a counter like this (at a different airport, nearby) I got a vehicle I never would have chosen from the Emerald Isle, so this doesn't always work well. My gripe on this visit was when I got to the counter to get a car, there were three ladies working and one of them was helping a customer. The other two were typing on the computer in front of them. I had to wait for the one helping a customer to finish and then she took me. Immediately after, another customer walks up and one of the other ladies stopped what she was doing and took him. She also recognized his Executive Elite status... I'm Executive Elite too, but no one said anything about that to me? (this goes towards inconsistent management which means poor training and management) Ultimately, I got my car and left. When I returned, there was no one outside to check me in. I saw a sign that said take the keys inside and remember what spot you parked in - This is a horrible way to check in cars! So, I did just that. Got to the same counter inside where I checked the car out two days prior and there were the same three ladies working the counter. I stood there and waited while 2 were on the phone. After waiting a few mins and none of them looking up to see me standing there, I interrupted what they were doing to ask what I was supposed to do. One commented that some guy was supposed to be outside to check me in, but clearly he wasn't. She took my keys and said they'd send the email. I stressed the elaborate review to say this is quite the opposite of what makes National so great with the Emerald Isle at larger airports. They could very easily do the same style here or at least offer much better customer service than they do. I wish they would because selecting National at these smaller airports is no different, nor better than simply going with Avis or Budget.

We were in and out on less than 5 minutes because they actually paid attention to the information I submitted online. Walked out with a fully gassed up charger.

    The van I rented had a large amount of cosmetic exterior damage. This is a minor strike against…read moreit. Then the fuel was at 3/4 tank and not full, even though it was rented as "full". The tire pressure warning light was on. I went back inside the rental office after discovering these problems and asked to be rented another vehicle (there was another van in the parking lot) but was told I could not have that vehicle instead. She did mark the fuel as 2/8 low on the receipt. She then told me that the tire pressure light was a "bad sensor" and that all tires were at 40psi. Upon driving the van home - 10 miles - I could feel the right front tire was losing pressure. I checked the tire at home and it was at 15psi. I refilled the tire to 36 psi, which is the correct pressure on the door label. I restarted the van, and the tire pressure light WENT BACK OFF - which means that there is NOT a bad sensor, and the sales clerk BLATANTLY LIED just to get me to leave. She had no consideration of an under-inflated tire being a MAJOR safety concern in a vehicle that would very likely be used to transport a family on vacation. I then went to start loading up the van with luggage for a 300 mile family trip including three children. When I opened the back, the van was very dirty. I had to completely vacuum out everything except the front seat floor mats. There was a large amount of white dog hair, as well as food crumbs, potato chips, and even ketchup drips in the center console area. After I vacuumed out the van and loaded it, about 2 hours later, the front right tire had already dropped to 30 psi. So, there was obviously a slow leak in the tire. I spent the remainder of the trip stopping about every hour to put more air in the tire, which as you can imagine is a large inconvenience on a 5 hour trip. Lastly, I discovered that the remote key fob would not work to lock or unlock the doors, so we spent the entire trip having to use the manual key to unlock the driver's door then unlock all doors with the buttons inside. A minor inconvenience, but added to everything else makes a very bad impression. I could take one or two of these problems alone and not be too bothered. But the sales clerk who directly lied to me about the flat tire is a serious concern, and for that reason I will not be renting from Sixt in the USA again.
