If I could give zero stars I would. AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS. Horrible service and hours long waits. I stood in line for 45 min only to be told they had no cars available (I had a reservation) and it would be another 30 min-1 hour for a car. I went over to Sixt and got a car in 5 minutes. Slow and weird, but functional. Came from NYC and took the train to Back Bay Station, then took a quick five minute walk to this rental car place which is located in the back of the lobby of the Marriott. It's not even a real office, just a desk and a computer right near the valet parking office. There was only one guy working. He was nice but there are a lot of forms to sign so checking out one person took about 10 minutes. Once we got the car, it was fine. Returned it by dropping it off to the valet. read more

Great little location hiding in the Copley Marriott, and a price that was the best around. I needed something for just 24 hours, and as long as it moved from Point A to Point B and had air conditioning, I was fine. Nice guys at pick-up and return, and when you drop off, unless you need to go in for something, just hand the keys to the hotel's valet and they will handle the rest. read more

In short, This is definitely way way way worse than the worst business I've ever experienced Rethink a million times before you click on dollar rental! I bet you will regret it. They charge you extra nonsense fees two months later without your consent, such as toll administration fees which could be 10x bigger than your toll fees. They would never let you that before you rent the vehicle, or even after you return the vehicle and pay the bill. They will simply quietly hide this and let the third party company send you the bill for hundreds of dollars of fees that you are not even aware of. Stay away from this asssss hole biz. Yelp won't let me type -1. We showed up on-time at 12:45 am to pick up our car reserved and pre-paid over a month ago through carrental8.com. There are no cars available and they said it would be a minimum 1 hour wait. We were not alone since 7 other customers were already camped out. Meanwhile our hosts are waiting for our arrival so we wasted money on our Airbnb stay. But the agent at the counter just doesn't give a damn. read more

No issues with dollar rental here - was a little concerned after reading the negative reviews of the other Dollar Rent a Car locations in Boston, but had no issues here. Desk is in the back of the Copley Marriott and only one employee at the desk, but I had no wait. He was friendly and explained everything well. Car was a clean Hyundai and they requested that we bring a gas receipt within 10 miles (easy to find) upon return. No additional fees charged - I was satisfied! read more

I'm not sure why there aren't more reviews for this location, but all I can say is that customer service with this location is lacking. Perhaps a start would be calling them on the phone, but since calls to local offices are immediately routed to a national calling center, one has no way of reaching them by phone. Moreover, their hours are near impossible to find, as I was given 3 different Saturday closing times by the call center, the Marriott and the rental agreement. I would avoid this place if at all possible, simply because of its difficult location and the company's subpar customer service. read more

No problem with the local Staff of this office, but I was charged $17 by Dollar corporate for some mystery toll, of which $15 was a Dollar fee. Apparently there is a bridge toll that must be paid via mail...no booth, so basically Dollar is charging me $17 to drive across a bridge. Their toll claims department kindly told me they weren't going to reduce that (even though I had no idea it even was a toll bridge) so over $15 I will never rent from Dollar again. read more

I had a reservation via Priceline and had no issues at pick-up or drop-off. Location is prime and T-accessible which helps when you don't have a car (hence renting one). Dollar Rent A Car is the most affordable car rental agency in the city so they're my go-to now. If would have some peace of mind and deal with an honest company: stay far away from DOLLAR RENT A CAR and especially from the Copley Place station (the Marriott). I booked a car for one day (midsize SUV) from 08h30 to 17h00. - We had to wait until 09h15 before being handled by the staff - The ordered GPS was not installed, simply given in a small bag - Just received the key with the indication "the car is just over there..." - We check the car before leaving and it had several body damaged - Staff first refuse to mention the damage over the pickup voucher... after threating to cancel our booking they accept to mention the larger damages As the station close at 3PM, the staff told us that as we were hotel customers, we could return the car to the hotel wallet and give us a returned form to be laid down on the dashboard. Easy, that's what we have done. 2 weeks later, back in Europe, I got a letter from this company saying that I haven't returned the car... That I have to take contact with them (but with their HQ in Tulsa) to organize the return !! Try to get contact by phone (fail to get in touch with the right guy), sent an email (no answer) and sent a registered mail (never answer!). I try to get in contact with the Copley Station but there is simply no phone number and no email ! After 3 weeks, DOLLAR RENT A CAR debited me for an amount of about 2700 $ !! This company refuses to communicate with me, never give me any explanation about the amount. You have to be aware that such story can happened to you too... so prefer Hertz at the airport, they are professional and we had a good experience there from a previous trip in Boston. read more

I too had contact issues with Dollar. This was not the fault of this location, but instead the corporate call center. It took mutiple calls and transfers to finally reach this location. I hadn't realized that this site closes early on Sundays(4:00), which completely ruined my plans for Sunday afternoon. I was told to return the car to the airport(a $35 cab ride back downtown) or keep it another day (more $$ plus hotel parking fees). I was super frustated and figured my Sunday plans we shot. Mike from the Copley locaiton called me back and came up with a great alternative to connect with the valet. This was creative and not your typical subpar large corporate customer service. I was sincerely impressed and appreciative. This is what keeps customers! giving 4 stars because to the corporate red tape. read more

Everything was pretty good---until I got a flat tire. They just weren't interested. I had AAA change it and the tire wasn't fixable. I drove on the donut almost 100 miles to the closest Dollar place--which was a little out of my way. There was no compensation for being put out. read more

If they don't have a car available, the employees Mark and Mike, make it happen by calling around. This drop-off location is at the Marriott Copley Place. My son dropped off the car with me the day following a pick-up in DC. There was no Dollar agent available and the valet said they handled it for Dollar. They did not have any receipts to give out, and since there was no Dollar agent around, all we could do is leave the car with them. Dollar charged us over $200 for a second day. Explaining this on the telephone and through their online center did no good. They wanted to take advantage of the situation. Not to be trusted. read more

Odd experience. After calling to confirm car would be dropped after close time, Mark told me car could be left with valet and would be charged for overnight valet AND additional day of rental. DO NOT rent your car from here even if it is cheaper!!! They charged me twice for rental insurance and will not refund my money, they gave me a car with a flat tyre and I had to drive 1.5 HOURS away from Atlantic City to get to a Dollar area to swap my car out which RUINED my holiday!!!
