This was our first visit here. It's interior is small and cozy. We were greeted right away and taken to a table. The waiter was very friendly. We ordered chicken cacciatore and steak stromboli. The chicken dish was very good. I loved the button mushrooms and the spices were right on. The steak stromboli was amazing!! We have never had better. Usually we have to slather stromboli in the sauce. It would be a travesty to dip it in the sauce. The flavor of the steak and cheese, the flaky crust, the juices from the meat were perfect. My fiancee could not quit praising it. We got the large for $15 and it was huge. We will definitely be returning. Also, the side salads were the best we've had. A hole in the wall that feels like a warm Italian hug is how I think of this place. We finally made it here after I said I was going to try it out for 2 years. Just really sorry I waited this long. They have most traditional Italian dishes with some Eastern European ones thrown in for good measure. I think the highlight for me was the awesome red sauce. The waiter brought us extra for my husband's lasagna, and we thought we wouldn't use it, but we shamelessly licked the bowl clean. I watched several people working in the back walk by a big pot on the stove, and they all stopped to stir it, apparently part of the job description. The sauce was fresh and delicious. Can't remember when I've had better. The rolls were chewy on the outside and soft in the middle, just like all my carb addict dreams are made of. I had veal Parmesan, which comes with salad, and as a bonus, they give you a plate of some kind of deep fried dough with powdered sugar and honey for dessert, and it's delish. Love this little peace of Italian heaven. Was driving around and saw it and took a chance, so not disappointed. Owners were so nice, gave me the most tasty roll to enjoy while I read the menu. Julia's place is eclectic with a diverse menu and delicious. Never had a bad meal. Personal favorite is stuffed cabbage. The rolls are hot and fresh and the donut for dessert are heaven. One of my "foodie" friends recommended this place to me so I decided to give them a shot don't let the curb appeal fool you this is a great restaurant when we were seated we were given some homemade rolls which were really tasty I got the Stromboli and it was great my friends got a pizza which had three different types of cheese everyone liked their food and the family owned staff was very nice and attentive after we finished we received a complimentary desert which resembled a funnel cake we were very pleased with the service and will be definitely returning. read more

This wonderful place is great. I eat here 3 times a week. They treat me like family. The pizza and meatball subs are number 1.

They have the best chicken Cesar salad. Their pizza lunch special is really cheap. I've come here for a casual lunch date and it was perfect with fast service. Disappointed. Heard good things and read the reviews so I gave them a try. I ordered a pepperoni pizza. It obviously wasn't fresh because the sauce was very dry like a pizza reheated the next day. It didn't taste bad but it wasn't the best pizza I've had by far. Not sure I will buy pizza there again but I may try one of their other dishes. After looking at the pictures of others pizza I'm thinking I got one that was made earlier and wasn't picked up. My pizza sure didn't look like any of the pictures. Stopped through on our way to DC. So glad we did! Food was delicious! They started us with garlic rolls before we even ordered. We tried the Cabbage Rolls,stuffed shells,steak& cheese sandwich,a huge bowl of bean soup. All is home made and wonderful. They bring fried donuts to you at the end of your meal. My girlfriend and I live very close, and when we have the extra money, love to get the veggie pizza and 2 cannolis. The pizza is consistently amazing! I love the feel of the place - a simple, no-thrills place with friendly service and straightforward food. This past evening my girlfriend and I got our usual but when we got home and ate our cannolis, they tasted a bit strange, kind of like a chemical taste? We took them back. The nice guy making the pizzas immediately replaced them, surprised by our complaints. We left and tasted our new cannolis. They were perfect! I'm sure just mishap with the making or storing. Bailed off 70 to avoid traffic and needed to find a place for lunch open the day before Thanksgiving. I trusted in Yelp, and was glad I did. We had two sandwiches that were very good. Omg what an amazing little hole in the wall, it's a very unassuming restaurant that would otherwise be driven by very easily. Please PLEASE do not let the limited amount of parking spots detract you from walking a block to get this food ! We ordered a Hamburg sub and steak works sub along with a side of an antipasto salad and a bowl of the chicken noodle soup, ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL ! The gentleman who served us and took the money for the bill was amazing, very very nice, I'm transgender and We refuse to tip if I'm treated poorly but he was wonderful. Please do not judge the book by the cover. There is nothing fancy on the exterior of the building. However inside you will find the most delicious food. My wife had the cabbage rolls, while I had the moussaka. My only complaint was my spouse ate her cabbage rolls without giving me any! The owners are very hospitable and made it feel as if we were eating in their kitchen. Bonus points too when he came to the table with the Wi Fi password so our son could play his iPad while the adults talked. read more

The food was simple freshly prepared Italian but very good, and accommodations were easily made like leaving off the cheese from my dish. . Good quality. The rolls were hot and delicious good pasta . Hidden gem! I probably would never have eaten here, if an old work colleague hadn't recommended it. But don't judge a book by it's cover. The owner is a sweet little Romanian lady and her husband. She treats everyone that walks in like an old friend. The pizza is good, greasy Italian style pizza, however the reason to go, is for the European dishes. It's a weird hybrid European-Italian menu, but it's delicious, and seriously one of the only places I'd go because of the service. The owner brings out little fried donut style pastries for dessert complimentary, and the gyro's are the best in town. One tip.
