Dolce Amici menu

Back in Norway we decided to try Dolce Amici for dinner. The focaccia bread starter was grilled panini with olive oil and light garlic and while small, was tasty. I had the chicken BLT panini, moist and delicious but light on the bacon. It was very good. One daughter had the Mediterranean salad with house Italian dressing and she said it was excellent. Another had the roast beef panini with a side salad that she thought was great - tender beef and an ample salad with delicious panini bread. 2 of us tried the affogato, espresso with vanilla gelato. This was spectacular! The gelato takes just the right edge off the espresso and was outstanding for dessert. The bill came to $127 for four, including a well deserved tip.

An afternoon treat

Stopped by on a cold Sunday afternoon. Very friendly and welcoming place. Great service, will have to come back again.

A solid 3.5 stars, but closer to 4 than 3. We read about Dolce Amici via Down East Magazine. They did a lovely feature on this new bistro back in April 2022, so when we found ourselves on a hike around Norway, we decided to try them out for lunch. First of all, I love the concept. They have a full alcohol bar, gelato station, brunch menu, and another regular menu. They also have plenty of outdoor seating in the summer (although only two small tables in the Fall) and -- of course -- indoor seating as well. We really liked the vibe outside so we sat there for our brunch. Service was a bit slow, but they seemed to have been a bit busy when we ordered. No biggie, as our waitress was very friendly and welcoming. We found the brunch menu extensive but were a bit disappointed at the fact that they were out of about half of the items on the menu. They had about 4-5 types of crepes but were very limited on paninis/sandwiches and other egg-based dishes, which we were sorta expecting given the time of the day. We ordered the blueberry + ricotta crepe for $12 and the Margherita panini (which came with a side salad) for $10. They were both REALLY delicious and priced fairly given the portion + how yummy everything was. I also ordered an espresso martini which, unfortunately, wasn't as good as the rest of the food. All in all, I would definitely return and try Dolce Amici again! The gelato looked amazing, so I definitely have to come back for that.

This place is SO DELICIOUS and they do not skimp on the pour of their drinks! We had a wonderful beet salad, Tuscan chicken and rigatoni Bolognese and focaccia to DIE FOR. They were all delicious and we sat outside under the beautiful umbrellas they put out. The people that work there are so nice and the owner served our dinner and was so kind.

Brunch!

I used to live in Norway, and my mom is still up there, so I've been wanting to try this place for a while now. My mom raves about their gelato and cocktails regularly, and to be fair, I didn't have either of those on my first visit. My partner and I went in for Sunday brunch, and I was a bit disappointed in the menu. They only do poached eggs and no other kinds. Then there are some salads, waffles, sides, and then mimosas/bellinis. We each got a peach bellini, which was good, and then I got a beet salad, which was amazing. The veggies were so fresh. The salad was definitely the highlight of the meal. The dressing seemed homemade and was delicious. My partner got the poached egg avocado toast, and the poached eggs were way overcooked. The toast was also extremely hard, seemingly stale. We originally also ordered a side of the creamy berry polenta, but the waiter came back and said that they were out of it, which was a huge bummer. So, we pivoted to order the waffles with berries and whipped cream, but the waiter said that they were also out of blueberries and whipped cream, which was pretty disappointing. When we got the waffles, they were extremely hard--so hard they cut the roof of your mouth. Overall, I really like the vibe of this place. It's a cute atmosphere and a nice addition to Norway's downtown. I hope that my experience was just a one-time thing and that they are able to make improvements as they go. Next time, I'll be sure to try out the cocktails and gelato.

The food and service is amazing as always! Best espresso martinis around Never have been disappointed at this spot! Such a great place to have a drink and bite to eat

Elegant yet comfortable seating, music and atmosphere.

Elegant yet comfortable seating, warm and efficient staff was just the beginning of our fantabulous evening. Every course was delicious and we look forward to returning!

Full salad with chicken

Went in to try their menu and boy did it deliver. Loved the fettuccine Alfredo a lot more than I expected to. We also tried the gelato with espresso (not pictured only because it didn't last that long) , which was devoured rather quickly. Mixed drinks were on point. High peaks at every point of the visit. Happy to return soon!

lemon drop martini

We went to dolce amici for their winter prix dinner. It was four courses with four included wine pairings for $75/pp. I was very impressed with the quality of the food and service for a small italian restaurant in small town Maine. You could tell that every meal was carefully thought out and that all the ingredients paired very well together. I wasn't a big fan of the peanut butter crepe but that's more of a personal preference. They were kind enough to send us home with a few pints of gelato. 10/10 would recommend! I honestly would do the 3hr drive back to to the area just for this restaurant.

We don't frequent often, but when we do, Dolce Amici is a nice little respite for an evening meal. We always enjoy our little visits.

Wow! I can't believe that I am just now discovering this place only 35-ish minutes up route 26 from…read morethe Gray turnpike exit. Fantastic and creative brews (and "guest stars" like a Absalom cider), a very relaxing and chill vibe, a nice open space inside, and incredible seating options outside, even in the winter. Lots of outdoor activities, including x-country skiing free of charge, and plenty of parking. Not having been here before, my friend and I appreciated the clear signage of where to go for food vs. gear. We were fortunate to get to the barn before all the morning skiers arrived for lunch and were able to order and seat ourselves pretty quickly upstairs. We looked at the menu and went back downstairs to order food and drinks. The drinks we carried upstairs, but the pizza we ordered was brought to us. To pay and to order more drinks, downstairs you go. And with the free x-country ski trails, on a nice day, this place jams up pretty fast. Soon tables are packed, there are lines to get food and drinks, and to use the 3 individual non-gender restrooms. Just a few things I found a bit odd or inconvenient - 1) They have a wonderful beer selection, but don't do flights :( 2) The hybrid service model is a bit confusing and certainly inconvenient. Technology could certainly help smooth this out. 3) To pay, you either have to pay in full (and tip) when you order, or have to wait in line at the same line where people are ordering in order to pay, 4) 3 single bathrooms are not enough for the peak capacity Aside from the wonderful beer selection, the highlights were free x-country skiing with a warming hut, plenty of parking and friendly staff. This is my new go-to winter refuge :)

I would love to know where they get the decor for this place. I'd imagine a lot of flea markets (fabulous ones)? It's hard to pick my favorite decor item because there are so many, but it's somewhere between the chairs shaped like hands and the giant silver octopus tentacle under the T.V. Ooo and the corner with all the clowns! Drinks are strong and cheap. The bartenders are friendly. There's a patio, but it's a bit small. There are plenty of comfy chairs/couches. They have live music pretty often, so if that's your thing, you'll be happy there on weekend nights. The only thing is the space is kind of small for live music, so it can get really loud. This is an excellent chill option if you're in Hallowell and want to skip bars that tend to get a bit fratty like The Quarry Taproom. Highly recommend!

Friends of ours wanted to play some pool after we had dinner nearby at Lucky Garden, so we did exactly that. I've always had a good time here, and I enjoy the artwork too!

It had all the quintessential New England Charm I was looking for! The front porch was complete with rocking chairs and they even put LLBean blankets on them at night. Such a special touch and I actually rocked my baby to sleep one night on them. We had breakfast at the restaurant twice because we loved it so much! The Maine blueberry pancakes were SO good and huge! All of the food was so fresh and I loved the homemade pastries. The kitchen was kind and gave us fresh fruit for my son. I also love that they have coffee for guests in the lobby each morning. We did not eat or drink at Pub165 but peaked in and I loved the decor of wooden chairs and exposed beams. A lot of bed and breakfast type accommodation in the area did not take children and I was so excited that OneSixtyFive did! They do charge $20 for the pack and play rental but they let me know that before I booked. It did not come with a soft mattress so my son wouldn't sleep in it but we ended up using it as a safe area for him to play in while we were in the room. The staff were all welcoming and friendly upon every interaction. We had a small mistake charge on our bill and they took care of it right away. If you're in the Brunswick area I highly recommend OneSixtyFive! It's right on Park Row and walking distance to all the local shops and restaurants :)

You get stunning mountain and hill views, which were especially beautiful during our fall visit. There's plenty of outdoor seating with tables, chairs, fire pits, and even some covered spots. The indoor space is small but cozy. The beer pours were fantastic. The menu was a bit limited, but there was something for everyone. Their NEIPA and DIPA were incredibly smooth, and my partner said his pumpkin ale special was amazing. They also offer food, which was a nice surprise.
