The lion King mural-ish set up!

This is such a fun experience, there's always something visually coupled with an audio recording for you to do here. The theme changes here often, but it's fun to see what's new. The first floor has a couple rooms, my favorite is the room with the projections and audio experience. The the cafe area with seating where a really nice tasting of coffee is served! They also have WiFi and chargers so you can definitely rest and chat with a friend or date here! The bottom level, is more of a visual experience. There's a DJ or some sort of music experience, but they have the theatre (15mins) there, and a lights or mural set up. Overall, a fun place you can visit every month or so since the themes seems to change often!

Star Wars exhibition at SoHo. It was a free event. The workers were sooooo nice. We took surveys to win freebies and watch a trailer of the movie to win gift cards to go see the movie. It was epic being inside! Everywhere you looked it was something to do with the movie or the past movies!

Great place to come to learn and get entertained about Dolby features. It has lots of multimedia showing that showcases Dolby capabilities. I got to experience Star Wars theme when I visited here. Sometimes, this place gives away some memorabilia at the end of the tour. I got a lightsaver keychain that lights up in blue color

Another free Instagram-centric spot that changes themes every so often while highlighting the use of Dolby sound systems. Currently they are showcasing the Oscar nominated movies and a red carpet area. Staff was friendly and will help you with photo-ops. Favorite spot was the Atmos Room with a movie projected on to all 4 walls. You can get a sense of the surround sound there. Their headphones were available at a few stations to try. The balcony area in the back also rotates with different pop-ups. Inkbox is currently offering free custom temporary tattoos. Downstairs includes one gaming station, bathrooms, a small theater, a dancing area with a DJ and some couches to relax on. Free WiFi (because they want you to share, of course). They also hold special events here that are usually free with RSVP. Hope to check one of those out soon!

This is a perfect spot for a photoshoot!!! Staff was super friendly and helpful. Staff members were very approachable. Each room is different from the next. The best part is that there is no admission fee. They also serve free coffee which is cool even though I don't drink that stuff. I came here for a photoshoot and every single picture came out PERFECT! The DJ section in the basement was pretty cool and not expected.

Went in for The Lion King pop-up event. I was able to have a sound experience with their headphones which was nice. The staff was very friendly and inviting. The visual screens and images were breathtaking definitely a great place to cool off as well there was full blast Air conditioning and little lounge areas. The lower level was an open space with DJ and bean bag chairs. It was a fun time. We were also invited to the movie theater to enjoy the cushioned seats, full surround sound Sony experience and watched a few movie trailers. It was an amazingly experience.

The Droids of Star Wars event

I came here on a Thursday night since I heard they recently launched a special exhibit for the Star Wars Rise of Skywalker movie last week. It's going on for a month until January 5. It was better than I expected. They had a Droids of Star Wars event that night so there were droids roaming around which was so cool if you're a big Star Wars fan. I took pictures with R2-D2, 3-CPO, and BB-8. They also had lesser known droids like power droids, mouse droids, and R4-P17 (yes, I'm a total geek). The best part was the lightsaber fight experience so be sure to wait on the line as soon as you get there. They provide cloaks and the lightsabers (light vs dark obviously) so you can make a video. You can watch Star Wars movies in dolby surround sound of course. They also have art and Lego models. When you leave, you can also get a free poster. It was a fun experience and I recommend it if you're a Star Wars fan.

I've been in the audio hobby for over 27 years, so I've learned the difference between a team that actually knows their stuff and one that's just moving boxes. I am the proud new owner of Certified Authentic Pre-Owned Wilson Sabrinas in Obsidian Black. Honestly, taking the leap on Wilsons wasn't really on my radar until a credible, certified pair popped up at a reputable regional dealer. That sense of local security and support is the only reason I felt comfortable taking my system to the next level. Right from the first message, the team was straight-up with me. They walked me through exactly what Wilson's Certified Authentic program entails, the Certification work done on the speakers, the warranty, and the realistic logistics. No hard sell, no runaround, and no question left unanswered. That's the kind of foresight you get from decades of real experience. What really set this apart was the installation. Their Certified installer Mike came out to do the Wilson Audio Setup Procedure (WASP). The guy is a total pro - super patient, incredibly knowledgeable, and just a great person to work with. He added a ton of value to the whole experience. My space is far from a showroom. It's a tight studio apartment, with a corner-loaded left channel, a workstation that isn't moving anywhere; essentially a "lab in motion" for my audio hobby. Mike didn't blink. He worked around the real-world constraints and went through the WASP methodically. Everything was done ear-first and with serious precision. Watching him dial it in showed me exactly why Wilson insists on this setup process; it's not just marketing fluff, it's real substance. The Sabrinas sound phenomenal, and they absolutely live up to their reputation. The speakers and set-up rival my former reference Levinson and Magnepan system. Once you graduate into equipment that has serious value, it's 100% about trust. You have to trust the product, the transaction, and the follow-through. Stereo Exchange nailed all three. If you're serious about bringing your experience to the next level, Stereo Exchange is the place.

I had a very limited budget of $1,000, and I was hosting a housewarming party the next day. I knew I was in the wrong store pretty much as soon as I walked in. However, Andy Singer was very patient and walked me through my options and I walked out with a CD player, an amp, and speakers from three different manufacturers that I had never heard of before. And he managed to make it work inside my budget of $1,000. A couple of months later, I was developing audiophile tendencies. The equipment I bought was that good, even within that budget, but the CD player just wasn't doing it for me. So I boxed it back up and returned to Sound by Singer. Amazingly, Andy didn't just take the CD player back. He sold me this beautiful alternative CD player made by an obscure English firm, for which all he asked me for was $200 and the return of the original CD player. The resultant combo kept me more than happy for 20 subsequent years. The amp eventually died, and the obscure firm in Jersey that made it had gone out of business, and it was not cost-effective to replace it. I ended up replacing everything. Although it's not an option for an audiophile, so I don't really qualify, I covered my home with Sonos speakers. I still have that CD player. I never play music on it anymore, but it was built with such love and care I have not been able to bring myself to part from it. Thank you, Andy. If you were the person many of the people posting negative reviews here say about you, you would have laughed me out of your store with my budget of $1,000. But instead, you made that $1,000 go so much further than I could possibly imagine. RIP Andy, and thank you for 20 plus years of beautiful music and helping turn my first New York apartment into my home.

I reached out to a few places, but Canal Sound & Light were the only ones who could do it. That was my lucky break. Saturday before the event, the venue calls to say their HVAC system is busted and they need to move us to a different location down the street. Canal Sound & Light were awesome throughout. Even though I'd never organized a meeting like this, they identified what we needed, gave us a reasonable quote for it, made themselves available for setup and teardown before/after the event, and even adjusted the equipment rental and pricing on the fly when they realized we didn't need a TV because the new venue had one in place already. Everyone was super nice, clearly knew what they were doing, and yet never talked down to me. And the sound was so good, the remote participants could hear us better than we could hear each other in the room. @_@ The event was August 2022, but I realized I never wrote a review. They totally deserve 5 stars. I hope they never go out of business.
