I met Nollan's the past summer when my A6 started to flood because the air condittioning system. They checked it, and told me that they had to expend a lot of hours looking for the damage. And also, the car's floor was totally ruined. It was an old car, and I decided don't do it. When I went to pay, they told me that they had expent less than one hour, thus it wans't necessary to pay, it was free. After that day I knew how honest these guys are. Today I brought other car to make the annual inspection. I knew the rear break pads and maybe the brake rotor were in bad conditions, and the rear muffler too. Now I'm living one hour an a half driving from Burlington. I decided two weeks ago to bring my car to a garage close where I'm living (South Vermont, Lebanon and Hanover area). Here they gave a budget around 1200 dollars, all brand new. Because, they told me it was impossible to fix. Again, I decided to go to Nollan's without to know it would be cheaper or not. I've paid 400 dollars. One hour and a half driving it worth it. I had paid more if they would have told me. Ladies and gentlement, it is not a question of money, it is a question of honesty. P.S.: I don't want to talk bad things about other mechanics, but first to stop where I'm living to visit a mechanic, you guys should call to Nollan's. Thanks read more

I cannot say enough good things about Dolans. (As in I signed up to Yelp to leave this review). As a young woman in my 20's, I've had many mechanics try to rip me off and then speak to me like I'm an idiot. And while I (admittedly) have very little knowledge about cars, I have enough to know when someone is trying to take advantage of me. DOLANS IS THE EXACT OPPOSITE. I've lived in Burlington for 8 years and they are by far the best, most welcoming, professional, fair and honest mechanics in this town (and probably in this entire state). They are the unicorn of auto repair shops! They have always been able to get me into the shop quickly and let me know exactly what was wrong. If it doesn't need to be fixed, they're honest with you and tell you. If it does need to be fixed, they give you a fair price. I strongly recommend Dolans to everyone (especially anyone who's ever been treated terribly by the crooked mechanics elsewhere in town!) Thank you Dolans, you guys are the best! read more

No one does it better. Trusty worthy, honest, quick, and professional With my son away at college with an old Dodge Ram with 190,000 miles, I worried about finding a good mechanic that wouldn't take advantage of the situation. With those kind of miles, things go wrong. I turned to Yelp to read reviews and I liked what I saw. This father son team is dynamite. They are honest, willing to send pictures of broken parts, fairly priced, and fast. I love how they operate and how they do business. I got lucky finding them. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Being in Mass and my son in Burlington with this old truck is very concerning but thanks to Dolan I have a piece of mind that we can count on this wonderful duo. read more

As someone who recently moved to Burlington from out-of-state, I didn't need a mechanic until my car broke down. I'd heard great reviews from local friends and had my car towed there. It was by far one of, if not the best experiences I've had at a mechanic. Since I knew what was wrong with my car, they were able to order the parts and have my car fixed the next day! They were very honest about pricing and didn't try to sell me anything that I didn't need. I haven't needed to take my car there for any routine work, but if your car has broken down, I highly recommend going to Dolan's Auto. Thanks for everything! read more

Dolan's is a refreshing escape from the grumpy employees at the Subaru dealership! I brought my Subaru to Dolan's to get a thorough inspection, and they called me within a couple of hours with a list of necessary repairs. They told me they would have my car repaired by the next morning, but it was done the same afternoon! They had informed answers to every question that I asked and were very personable. The only reason I give them four out of five stars is that they left a couple of interior panels in my car slightly askew, but nothing difficult to adjust by myself. I strongly recommend Dolan's! read more

Dolan's auto simply saved our trip. A thief sold us a bad car and it broke after two days. Not only they repaired it for a really fair price but they were extremely nice to us, checking that there was no other hidden problems with the car, showing us how to check it while we will be on the road. The more honest auto shop we have ever been to, in France or in the US, we were so lucky to find them. By the way we chose to go there because of its Yelp reviews, and now we can say : yes, go there, this is the best place you can go if you ever have car trouble in Burlington ! Thank you so much guys ! read more

I went to Dolan's because of a Yelp review, and now I'm writing one - They were absolutely fair and did a great job. Don't be put off by the small location and rough exterior - this is a great small business. I was a little early to pick up my car and it was still on the lift, so they showed me all the work they had done and how the old parts were so worn down in comparison to the new ones. As a 22 year old with no knowledge of how and why cars work, I really appreciated their genuine service. I would definitely go back and recommend this to friends! read more

My daughter had car trouble on her way back to college and after reading reviews about Dolans on yelp I told her to make an appointment with them. We normally handle of our own automotive repairs and I found the staff at Dolans to be knowledgeable with excellent communication skills. Shawn spent the time to diagnose what was wrong without guessing and running up repair costs. With my daughter having two more years of school in Burlington I am happy to know that we have a dependable, honest repair shop to rely on when necessary. read more

These guys are fabulous. I am in Vermont pet sitting for my son while he is on vacation. Yesterday (a Sunday), the driver's side door lock got stuck and I couldn't get in the car from that side. I had to scramble over the console from passenger side in order to drive the car. I called Dolans this morning, Monday, and they told me to bring it right over. They had it fixed in less than 5 minutes and did not charge me for the work. Their helpfulness and kindness were unbelievable. Thank you, Dolans. read more

Love having my car worked on here, basically agree with all of the other five star reviews for Dolans! Great family business that once didn't even charge me to fix a vibrating wheel issue and more recently fixed my engine for 1/4 of the price that I was quoted by a less reputable establishment. You will not be disappointed with the courteous and respectful service you receive here, they even went and made sure my car wouldn't be towed during a parking ban!! read more

Awesome local auto shop! I sent an online inquiry about a screeching sound my car was making and in less than 24 hours, they were able to check it out and complete the necessary repairs (replacing my brake pads & rotors). Chris was helpful, straightforward, and offered insight and suggested repairs I will likely need in the future. Prices of parts and labor were reasonable and I will definitely be returning! read more

My son attends school in Burlington and on his way back to school from RI after spring break, his car broke down. My husband, who is in the automotive business in RI, searched out Dolan's, spoke with Shaun and they had my son's Jeep Liberty fixed and back on the road in hours for a very reasonable price. These guys are great and trustworthy. We highly recommend Dolan's Automotive. read more

Living in the ONE, I decided that I wanted to keep my money that local. I went to Dolan's and they did a great job. They pointed out a couple of other things that my car needed, but didn't try to hard sell me on making the repairs or dying in a fiery crash. These guys are straight shooting Vermonters doing business the Vermont way. read more

I went the garage because of the good views in Yelp. The engine light of my car is on, and the guy helped me to clear it for free. The work staff there are very professional, and they charged a very fair price. I would continue to use the service of this garage and recommend it to my friends. read more

I have been a customer of Dolan's Auto for almost two years. Howie and Shawn have always been good to me and taken excellent care of my car. They keep my put put going. They are truly genuine and honest. That is hard to find now a days. Thank you guy's and keep up all the good work!!! read more

I've been to lots of other places in the burlington area. I've been to midas, noyes, hart and mead, etc etc and Dolans is by far the best. They are charging me just around $100 for a job other people priced at two or three times as much. So straightforward and they have honest prices. read more

This place is fantastic. The prices are great. The people are very up front about what you need to get fixed and what you can wait on. I asked for a price range on the services I required and the actual cost was below the estimate. You can't go wrong with this place. read more
