It should be noted that other locations don't seem to have this problem- it seems to be a quirk of workplace culture specific to this particular location.

I had the chance to reject them, but it felt like a pretty aggressive way to try to upsell. After I approved only the necessary services, I got a notification later in the day that they had to add one more item to the invoice, a replacement mass airflow sensor. And I couldn't reject it if I wanted to pass the state inspection. I'm pretty skeptical that it was actually necessary, and if it had been included before I'd approved other charges, I'd have felt like I could get a second opinion at another garage. They had to order the mass airflow sensor, so I got my car back in the mean time. When I tried to drive it the next day, I got a warning "Check Hybrid System - Stop Vehicle in a Safe Place." When I stopped at a stoplight, the car wouldn't drive until I turned it off and back on again. I couldn't take it back to Girlington Garage because they'd closed for five days for some company event. I took it to another garage, they ran a diagnostic, and based on the results, I'm pretty sure it's related to Girlington fiddling with the mass airflow sensor. Honestly, I feel kind of scammed. The prices are really high, I feel like they tried to sell me things I don't need (and partially succeeded), and I got back a car I couldn't drive for five days. My car is an Alfa Romeo and I'm super cautious of trusting unknown shops to work on it. From the first phone call with the manager Jason, through scheduling and ultimately buying and having Gills Point S Tire install new Falken tires on my Alfa Romeo, the experience was flawless and exceptional. They were above and beyond friendly, polite, professional, and easy to work with. My appointment started exactly when it was supposed to, and I was in and out in 30 minutes on a Monday afternoon. I was shocked how fast the service was and haven driven 30 miles home already, it's obvious the tires were installed correctly. I have been going to another local regional chain and I've always been stuck there 2-3 hours and felt like the staff were annoyed to be so busy. I almost hate to leave this review because I don't want Gills Point S to be slammed and a long wait next time I go there lol. I came down for a routine oil change, but told them I noticed a terrible smell in my air conditioning, as if something had died in there. They took apart the entire air filter system until they found the source, which was indeed a big dead mouse. They spent so much time cleaning and remedying the situation. I cannot thank them or recommend them enough!

The third time I picked up the vehicle, it did not run any better than when I dropped it off. I have never experienced anyone who talks as much as Nick, the owner of the franchise, but NEVER say's anything relevant. I contacted Aamco corporation to file a complaint. They called Nick, the owner then called me back (timely) to tell me Nick refuses to return my money. I asked to speak with the head of the department. I left a message and sent two emails to Quinn Callahan. He has ignored ALL efforts to contact him about this issue. This is the worst company I have EVER encountered!!!
