Most of the ladies who have assisted me at Clazedonia have been pretty nice and surprisingly patient - I imagine it's a pain in the ass if someone wants to try on more than one size of a pair of leggings or something, since that kind of garment is difficult to repackage, and since they are also mindful of how many garments they give you to try on at a time (to prevent shoplifting, I suppose). However, my beef with Calzedonia, aside from its pricey-ness and cramped-ness, is that when I tried on some leggings a while back and went to purchase them, the lady picked up the wrong pair (they had some out to try on, I suppose so that they wouldn't have to repackage every pair tried on). It's partly my fault for not paying closer attention, but the new pair of leggings was like €10 more expensive! AND I couldn't return them - only exchange, and even then, only exchange for certain items in the store. Of course, I thought it was odd that they were so expensive (I would not even try on €25 leggings, after all), but I had already paid by the time I realized it (my mistake). It wasn't until I got home and tried on the garment that I realized the other mistake - the chick's - and read the receipt (re: their exchange policy for this garment). Oh brother! The worst part is that the new leggings looked worse on me than the original/cheaper pair, so I had to go through the process all over again: returning to the store, hassle with exchanging them, but only for certain items, etc. Yes, this was an isolated incident and partly my fault, but on other visits it's been equally chaotic, and I maintain that the place is just too overpriced. While I like the pieces that I have from there now, I won't be going back.

I have returned the product to the store but was informed that as I did not have the receipt nothing can be done. This was not my first purchase of this type of legging as I wore the leather effect leggings for a long time with no problems. The clear indifference and disregard of customer happiness of Calzedonia is frankly very disappointing. I, myself, am in Textile industry as a producer / exporter to many High-end brands and we as the producers are expected to stand behind our products' quality.

This is a re-review mainly on service quality! My opinions on the store itself remain unchanged but…read moremy opinion on the staff has radically shifted. Let me explain: I needed to return an item I had recently (i.e. an hour before) bought because it was totally the wrong size. Simple enough you say, well well well, I have just spent the past 58 minutes of my life trying to accomplish this modest feat. (Yes I timed it!) Staff member after staff member that I asked directed me to another part of the store where another member of staff directed me to another part. This is how it went: -Walked into the store and stood at what I assumed was the info counter (it is right at the entrance to the store and is a large desk/cashier area with information and tips cards on it) and tried to get the attention of the lady seated there. After 5 minutes and various "Bitte's" and "Entschuldigung's" she finally bothered to turn around and address me. I explained what I wanted and she stuck a finger out and said "Kunderbüro!" and turned back to what she was doing. -So I decided to look on the floor map to see where the customer service desk was. It directed me to the 3rd floor. On the 3rd floor there was no obvious customer service desk so I made a lazy circuit of the floor looking for someone to help. There were very few employees and those that there were, were sitting behind desks dealing with other customers. Having made a complete circuit of the floor I spotted an employee coming up the stairs. I waited for her to get close and asked her where I could return my item. She looked at me and pointed to the back and said "at the end on the left." So I proceeded to the back and left and found....nothing but furniture. Ok I must have misunderstood so I went and waited at one of the manned desks for someone else to ask. After a couple of amusing minutes watching the employee enter numbers into a calculator he looked up and I enquired where I could return my item. He pointed in the opposite direction and told me there are two doors at the far end, its the right one. Ok that sounds more like it! Well I found the doors and the left one had on it "Tax Free" and "Please close the door." Always one for adventure I knocked and opened it up only to find the back office of Leiner with about 20 people furiously tapping away on computers. Seeing as I have found where the employees seem all to be I asked the nearest lady where I could return my item. She looked at me as if I was an absolute idiot and then directed me to the baby section on the 4th floor. -The 4th floor did indeed have a baby section with one employee chatting away to a customer who was obviously her friend. They were chatting about the holidays they planned to take in the summer. Nice! I waited (a bit) patiently but she never acknowledged my existence or even looked my way. Luckily (hahaha) another employee walked passed and I made my enquiry with her. She looked bemused and pointed toward the back of the store and said to try there. (See where this is going?) Well there was no customer service desk there either and by this time I was getting a little ticked off. I stormed to another occupied desk where the saleslady was talking to another couple and demanded that she help me! I was a bit rude, I must admit, but I was nearly at the stage of just leaving the item in the lift and walking away. (For the amount of money I was looking to recuperate this began to feel like the most sensible option.) She took one look at the sales slip and directed me to the ground floor again... -I stormed down to the ground floor and grabbed the first person I saw and demanded help! "No problem at all was her response, please come this way." She led me to a tiny desk around the back of a pillar and asked me whether I wanted to exchange the item or if I wanted the money back. I said I wanted the money back (I really didn't want to give them any of my money, would rather spend it elsewhere) and then she said that sorry because I had paid by card the only thing she could do was give me a voucher for the amount I had spent and couldn't refund my money. I didn't have any more energy to be upset so admitting defeat I accepted the voucher and finally made my way, with a weary groan, outside thinking all the time thank goodness I don't have a gun! Hopefully this is the last time I ever have to go into Leiner again! So with that in mind, if there is anyone who wants a Leiner voucher worth 24.90€ please contact me!

Most if not all of the employees at the service desks speak English and are more than willing to help you find what you are looking for. If you live in Austria, sign up for their membership program and get an 8 euro coupon just for signing up, plus one on your birthday. Oh, and there is a Kare inside the Leiner. Strangely, this Kare store is sometimes cheaper than the main Kare across the street, plus, they usually have what you want in stock. Leiner might not alway be the cheapest, but the products are usually good quality and the selection is great. Not a good store for major appliances as the selection is quite limited.

Steffl department store is a luxurious store with seven floors of clothing and accessories from…read morevarious very high end brands. If you are a fashionista, this is definitely a place to check out. Even if you can't afford it (most of us can't), the window shopping is worth it. Steffl is very conveniently located on a busy shopping street leading up to St. Stephan's cathedral at Stephanplatz. The street is otherwise full of quite generic high street brands which you can find anywhere else in the world, so in my opinion this department store was the only outstanding stop worth stopping at during the day at the city center (if one has limited time for Vienna, like I did). The store is not as large as e.g. London ´s Harrods, but it still has a decent sample of the best brands out there. I especially enjoyed the variety in eveningwear and lingerie departments. I like that the staff is polite and professional and doesn't act snobbish towards you even if you are an obvious student with a backpack checking out a thousands euros Elie Saab or Marchesa gown. The seventh floor also has a lovely view of the cathedral, so after you're done fashion admiring, it´s worth checking out.

I asked the saleswoman in that section if she could change a my battery, and she said, "No. You have to go to a Jeweler for that." O.K., that's acceptable. What wasn't acceptable was when I asked her where the nearest jeweler was located... how do I get to one? I told her I am not from here (although I have lived here for about a year, but I didn't tell her that) and she looked at me, very serious, and proceeded to ask me, "Do you have a cell phone? Get on the internet and type in 'nearest jeweler'..." She was still talking, but I had begun to walk away at that point. THIS is by far the rudest, of rude interactions with customer service that I've ever had. Even on a bad day, this is NEVER an acceptable way to talk to a customer.

Friendly staff and you're welcome to just pop in and browse if you want. The reason for only four stars is the funk of the second hand shoes. This is a funky little shop that always has purses and/or clothes on sale outside on the street,…read moreusually for €10. They have a wide assortment of T-shirts (for guys, too), and TONS of reworked vintage dresses. The sizing is weird, though - you might see a dress you like in a "medium" but it turns out to be wayyy smaller than you were anticipating. Don't worry, you're not alone/you didn't blossom into a giant overnight, that's just how some of the clothes fit (and I think that's just how it is with reworked vintage). This store gets 2 stars instead of 3 because, among other things, they are pretty overpriced, IMHO. The dresses are all €48, without any 2-for-€80 discounts or anything like that. (The other items in the store are also overpriced, including an assortment of knock-off LeSportsac purses, etc.) Which brings me to my next point.. A lot of their stuff that's not vintage is Made in China, which if you've read any of my other reviews you'll know I have some beef with.. So. That's pretty much it. Overall it's a cool shop, worth a visit, but know that it's overpriced. If you're into vintage (I am), you're likely to find several dresses you like, but only a few will fit, and you probably can only afford like one.
