The owner who served me had his tailor take my measurements and promised to revert to me with a quote after a visit he was making to the manufacturer in Como, Italy the following week. to check on supply. Despite several telephone calls/email I have never received the courtesy of a response. I even returned to the store early last month when I was in Vienna on a business trip but the owner was absent - his assistant asked me to leave my contact details and assured me he would be in touch. I know that most London-based tailors don't like their customers to bring their own cloth since it takes away the revenue from buying it themselves and selling it at a higher price, but most continental European tailors are not as fussy. Jungmann & Neffe also offer a range of beautiful accessories, ties, bow ties and handkerchiefs that are hard to resist. And which other shop in Vienna offers bow ties that are not clip-on ? And I particularly loved their wonderful premises: wood-panelled walls, painted ceiling and irresistibly old-fashioned sales staff. And if you want to transform their cloths into your suits on the spot, they apparently also have a visiting tailor who will measure you up right there. Highly recommended !
