Julia and the Dogwalks team are phenomenal. We trust them with our (fairly new) rescue chihuahua Little Mama who suffers from separation anxiety. Julia connected us with a reputable separation anxiety trainer Malena Demartini and we have been making progress over the last few months. We know Little Mama loves Dogwalks too because she frequently asks the humans to pick her up and hold her. Which is a big deal from our scaredy-cat dog. Julia also offers boarding services which was a miracle for a dog with separation anxiety. We knew Mama was always being cared for and wouldn't ever enter her panic stage by being left alone. DogWalks is the place to be!

Words can't express how much we've appreciated the help of Julia and the team at Dogwalks for the past 4.5 years. They've been there for us for every last minute work emergency, anytime we've had to go out of town... even when I've accidentally locked myself out of my apartment, they were there with spare keys - literally lifesavers! We are eternally grateful for all the great care, consistency and reliability Dogwalks has given to our family. They deliver pure joy every day (when Buster goes on his walk and when we use our Buster mugs, their annual xmas gift)! We recently moved to Berkeley and are SO sad we'll have to find a new dog walker. But Buster loves them so much, we're planning to continue boarding with them for long vacations. Julia's home is comfortable, clean and most importantly, flexible for different dogs' needs. He's able to run freely and Julia even lets him sleep on the bed with her - invaluable since our little guy gets separation anxiety.

    Ezra at day care!

We are SO glad we've found dog walks. We've been with them for almost a year and our Mini Aussie Ezra is so happy! Ezra walks with Trinidad and he has done such a great job. Trinidad makes sure Ezra listens to him at all times and has taught our pup to be more patient than usual. Every time the door bell rings he thinks it's Trinidad and get super bummed when it isn't. If you are considering day care for your puppy, we also highly recommend it. When Ezra was a puppy, he went M-F and was exhausted when he came home. It's not easy to get Aussies tired but he would fall asleep within 30 minutes of coming home. Julia and her team are incredibly kind and we are so thankful for them. We never worry about his safety as we know they always go the extra mile.

5 PAWS ALL THE WAY!!!! Bebe walked with Julia and team for 10 years and she still boards with them when I have to travel for work. She always comes back super happy after her walks. Julia's team is well trained and the dogs are well cared for. Bebe is a rescue and had severe separation anxiety issues when I first adopted her. Bebe's social skills and level of comfort around strangers have improved significantly with her group walks. The level of care provided is top notch and I cannot speak more highly of Dogwalks and their service. Oh, and if you have to travel for work you might want to check out Dogwalks Instagram page to see what your fur child was up to during the day... Bebe approved.

I have two high energy pit mixes whose leash reactivity had gotten worse in the past half year, and it had reached a point where it was unmanageable because they would start barking and lunging at other dogs even from a healthy distance. I met with a few trainers to get a sense of their methods and styles, and Ceslie felt like the best match because of how she took the extra time to know my dogs and understand their behavior before recommending a plan, compared to others who jumped into training without asking many questions. There was a noticeable difference in how my dogs responded to Ceslie after their first class. She was thoughtful in customizing a plan that fit their needs, from teaching proper corrections to reinforcing obedience to providing the right equipment. She also taught me how to be a better handler (something often overlooked in training!), and it's truly strengthened my relationship with my pups. We had weekly sessions over the course of a month and there has been significant improvement in my dogs' behavior. Walks are stress-free and enjoyable again because we're able to bypass other dogs without issues, their door etiquette has improved, and we're now slowly working on their separation anxiety (slow and steady process but we're making progress!). Ceslie has been incredibly supportive and responsive through it all and I'm very grateful for her guidance with what I thought was a hopeless situation. I'm now considering sending the pups to her daycare program!

"You don't train the dog; you train the handler."…read more This couldn't be more relevant having worked with Ceslie. To be clear, while I saw training results with my pup by day 2, I didn't realize how imperative it is for YOU to learn patience and consistently implement the training. Point being, you are a student, and Ceslie is an incredible teacher. Her experience and knowledge are obvious, but what's special is how quickly she identifies the issues and gets you on track, like day 1, it was uplifting. Ceslie gets it. She'll adapt to your style and help you get to that obedience baseline you want to see in your dog. She balances compassion with firm direction-- Ceslie's a pro. For context, my guy was 7 months old at the time, rescue, half German shepherd mix w/ HIGH ENERGY... oh, and 75lbs. While he's never shown aggression, he's a liability because he LOVES everyone-- favored meeting strangers over recall, jumps on people, would be a brat, throwing tantrums when given commands. I always wanted a dog, but I was overwhelmed. Within a month (mornings, 4 days a week), I hit baseline with my dog--- he recalls, he doesn't jump, most importantly, taught him to fetch so I could properly get energy out of him... such an immense amount of weight lifted. Proof of progress with pics (she sent me photos of training each day) TLDR; Ceslie rocks. Stop looking.
