My biggest concern was my German shepherd, who has ALWAYS refused to eat and had worsened anxiety after staying at other kennels. It was amazing to see that the people working at B & S were able to interact with him and not have any aggression issues. He walked right out and didn't bark at anyone or any other dogs. We will bring our pups here for any future boarding needs!

The staff at Ruff House Adventures did a thorough evaluation and asked detailed questions to understand our family's specific training needs: she's not the boss and she can settle down and be calm. Ruff House Adventures' trainers and entire staff helped my dog learn her place as a dog & that it's safe to mellow out. Most importantly they taught me, the owner, how to better understand my dog's triggers & find alternative ways of addressing her behavior issues. After multiple visits, not once have they managed to follow simple instructions for a haircut. On my most recent (and final) visit, I dropped my dogs off and, astonishingly, they were kept for over eight hours with no communication other than a midday text asking about the cut--again. When I tried to call, I discovered the business was apparently closed, despite my dogs still being held hostage. When I finally retrieved them, not only were they still not ready, but one was bleeding from a botched shave under her neck--cut so close to the skin it was borderline negligent. I was informed both dogs had five fleas each, which is impressive given their clean bill of health from the vet the day before. Apparently, my dogs received a flea bath--this was never communicated, of course. The owner's daughter excused the disaster by saying they'd "had a rough day." That's nothing compared to what my dogs endured. My female's head looked like it had lost a battle with a weed whacker, and her body was bald. As for the dye job I requested? The color on my male dog had faded before we even reached home. When I texted to complain, suddenly they decided the dogs "weren't good candidates for dye because of fleas." If that's the case, why proceed and why not let me know? Basic communication is clearly a foreign concept here. To call this business unprofessional would be a compliment. The customer service is abysmal, the communication nonexistent, and the grooming skills laughable. If you care at all about your pets, steer clear. I wouldn't recommend this place to the walking dead. The staff here clearly dislike their jobs and, from what I witnessed, shouldn't be allowed near any animal, let alone entrusted with people's money. This is a masterclass in how not to run a business.

I knew something was wrong with her and she was clearly miserable, so I just couldn't let her suffer all weekend. Dr Kanach got her in right away and determined that she was in total renal failure. When they allowed me to come in and hold my Kiki and say goodbye, I realized Dr Kanach was the same vet that I had release my dog from her cancer, 5 years ago. What a wild, fortunate yet sad coincidence. He and his team were extremely compassionate and gently, respectfully supported me thru the entire process both times. Once Kiki had passed, the nurse helped me wrap her up and place her into her carrier. She walked me out to my car and offered me a big hug. Above and Beyond, for sure.

AVOID THIS COMPANY…read more Left my dog with them for two nights. He is on prescription food and cannot have anything else or he gets sick. We get him back and they gave us another dogs food. When he got home he starting having diarrhea. That progressed to him pooping blood, which we already knew happens when he gets something he isn't supposed to have. I called and they refuse to do anything on a refund saying that even though they messed up and gave us the wrong food back, they did not mess up in giving him something he wasn't supposed to have. They said "sometimes older dogs poop blood". If I wanted my dog to be in worse shape after two days I could have just left him alone at home and saved a couple hundred dollars.
