My Toy Poodle's regular groomer was unable to see him this time around. Also, I have noticed with…read morethe last 2 hair cuts that my pup had some nicks/cuts. So my pup tried out this place today. He got a full bath, blow dry, brushout, ear cleaning, nails trimmed and filed, and teeth brushed. (My Toy Poodle has long tight curly hair that was starting to and was matted.) All of this was about $50. All of this was about the same price as our x groomer. And I looked over my pup; I did not see any nicks/cuts. I was not able to meet the staff or to see the place in person. But my dad dropped off our pup and he liked the place. Seeing the after effect and seeing the results; I am happy with this place. I have read up on their website, and it seems like a cool little place! This was a first time try, and we may come back.

However my Yorkie came back with half of her hair on the right side is cut in half on the front and has a small strand. That is not a major problem because eventually it grows back. The second thing is she came back with a really really bad razor burn on her bumm and her private part. Poor thing can't even sit and licks the area. I called on Tuesday as her rash was getting worse. Left a message, but never got a return phone call. I called again on Wednesday and let them know what was going on. She didn't apologize. She didn't accommodate what I paid. She didn't offer any type of anything I told her that she'll probably have to go to the vet and that it wasn't fair that I had to pay for a bill for something they did. She never offered to pay half or to pay for it never offered a credit. Nothing customer service is not up to par and the empathy of the owner, Sunny, was very cold. She had no empathy. It was my first time there I will not go back again. I canceled my future appointment so please if you're thinking of trying this place. STOP!! do not book if she would've apologized. It would've been OK no problem, but her heart is as cold as ice.

I've taken my dog here for grooming several times and the first few visits seemed perfectly fine…read morebut the last 3 there was always something. One of the visits I noticed the groomer did a sloppy job and there were many uneven areas but I figured it wasn't worth getting worked up over so I wrote it off. The next visit I asked the groomer to completely shave her but when I came back she did not shave my dog's head or tail. I figured, no big deal, I'll just let her know I wanted those shaved too and wait. I asked her to shave them and she argues that the dog looks better this way. I told her I still wanted her fully shaved and she has an attitude and says, "I guess I'll make a note in her file that you want her looking like a Weimeraner instead of what she's supposed to look like." Now this was annoying to me but I thought, maybe she's just having one of those days, whatever. This final visit is the last straw though! When my dog came back from her grooming, she had a huge bleeding gash on her cheek. My husband picked her up and didn't notice until he got home. The groomer said absolutely NOTHING to us about it and I've had no luck calling them to file a complaint. What horrible service! The LEAST you can do is inform a customer that their animal is injured. Can't believe the lack of work ethic and integrity here!

Our two senior dogs were allowed to tag along with the staff inside when they didn't want to be social, and our puppy was well socialized when we came home. We were a bit concerned about her, since she had never been around dogs other than ours. The *only* negative I could say is that she had been broken of jumping up on people, and she has since lost that control - not their fault, though, we didn't tell them not to let her do it. We would not hesitate to take our dogs there again, and are strongly considering daily day care to help with extra energy buildup for the pup.

I was really hoping to like House of Hounds. After two boardings I can say that we will never go…read moreback. On both boardings there was absolutely no communication. I signed up with the video cam and checked daily for proof of life. It would be really nice to get updates of daily activities as well as additional services paid for; i.e. walks, hikes, kong treats, etc...we got nothing. In addition, when we picked up our dog on the second boarding I had to ask for the blanket I left with our dog. When they brought it out they said that the blanket got wet from a water dish while our dog was playing with a toy in the kennel. When I got home I discovered that the blanket was actually soaked in urine. It makes me so sad to think that my dog had no choice other than to relieve himself on the blanket...something he would never do. On the first boarding, his dog bed was wet but I chalked it up to a kong treat he might have gotten. I normally do not write reviews but was so disappointed with the care that my dog got that I felt compelled to share. This place came highly recommended to me...unfortunately I can't say the same.

In the beginning, we took a couple of private classes; I wanted to see what kind of training…read morephilosophy they followed. I was so happy with the private lessons I talked with Brittany about doing the 2 week board and train program for our 9 month old Goldendoodle. Brittany uses the same positive reinforcements with her human students that she uses with your dog. It was hard to not have our fur-baby with us for 2 weeks but they sent video updates of his progress and pictures. He received excellent care and I would highly recommend Saragold Boarding/Training for anyone looking for excellent K9 training. We will definitely be doing more training with Saragold.
