When we rescued a small puppy, we knew that our working lifestyles would mean that we would need a dog walking service. What we didn't know was that he would have fairly major fearfulness issues with most people and environments, and that we'd literally be the only people he'd trust. So the bar was high for finding someone who could help us. Since Amanda has been looking after our little guy, he has not only been getting as much exercise as he needs but also has come a long way with his difficulties. During this time, Diane has been with us as we suffered through the loss of our previous precious companion who was 18 when she passed. Diane was such a great companion to our older girl whenever we needed her and treated Tisha with such great care. We never worried about Tisha being in WTP's care even as she came up to the end of her life. Now, Diane is still with us as we brought 2 new companions into our lives - both rescue dogs - and both as wonderful as can be, but with their sets of issues. Diane is so wonderful with them. She built a rapport with both of them immediately and is always creative in trying new ways to address any "issues" which come up - which is thankfully rare. She just has such a great touch with the "paw-enabled." Finally, she is so incredibly flexible with our demanding schedules. Our household has very unpredictable schedules and my partner and I are often on the road. Both he and I also don't know sometimes until the last minute that we'll need to go out of town or what our schedule will be and when we'll need pet-sitting help. Diane has ALWAYS tried her best to accomodate this wackiness, even last minute. I's the very rare occasion when she hasn't been able to and - in those rare instances when she just can't - we always know she tried her hardest and she works with us to try to find an alternative option. You won't go wrong with Walking the Paws!!

Sure, cats are pretty low-maintenance, but it's well worth the peace of mind knowing that someone is spending quality time with your cat. And Brea's photo updates are such a treat - she could be a pet photographer, she always manages to get some great photos of our normally shy cat! Tip: try to coordinate at least a few days in advance. I think we did an in-person meetup the first time (which I appreciated!) and also needed to to coordinate key drop off, so give yourself time to work out logistics.

We get a detailed write up, photos, and map of where the pups when on their outing. Jesse was even featured on King 5 for her thoughtful walk summaries! The photos she takes are some of the best we have of our pups! Every single staff member I've interacted with has been extremely professional, kind and helpful. Every single message or request I've sent has been responded to and resolved within 24 hours which is amazing. Our sitter, Robin, took excellent care of our fur baby while we were away for about a week over Thanksgiving. I LOVED receiving the photo updates and cute descriptions of their visit. They definitely made me feel more comfortable, and I was confident that our cat was being well taken care of. Our sitter also went above and beyond by vacuuming the litter box area and removing all trash on her final visit. The client portal is very user-friendly and well designed. Customers are easily able to schedule their services, and the site allows for customization of the visit length and time. Staff also respond to requests or send pet-updates through the portal which get sent directly to your email. You can also see exactly when your sitter arrived / left. I'd also like to point out that the prices are very reasonable. Yes, there is a small holiday fee (7$ for me at least). Even so, my total came out to be considerably less than I was quoted with other services so I was able to splurge for some extra play time for my kitty.

I observed soon after that when I would drop her off, I definitely saw her licking her lips and not look 100% comfortable. Coupled with a staff that seemed inattentive to customers waiting, and would not quite pay attention at drop off, we only went a handful of times. I just started Daisy here at Camp Crockett and she cannot get enough. When we pull up, she starts screaming in the car. When I drop her off, she doesn't even glance back at me! Her wiggly body language to the staff says "HURRY UP, open that door, let me go see my friends!" Daisy is a veteran of multiple different daycares across state lines, so the experience at the other day care came as a surprise--she never disliked any other daycare before. Now that she's at Camp Crockett, I'm comfortable that she's having a blast and feels safe to enjoy herself.
