But recently, (tho as I read other one star reviews... this seems to be a trend for years with Luke), the owner, seems to have forgotten business etiquette and professionalism. He is incredibly rude, narcissistic, and threatening. I now question why my dogs were so scared of going there, maybe it wasn't just the blow dryers..... I'd be scared to refer anyone to this business at this point after reading others recent reviews. I made an appointment for my two goldens months in advance knowing my pregnancy due date and baby on the way and wanted them fresh before her arrival. I always happily pay extra during services for them to not be kenneled as they are little chickens and get stressed in a kennel. Spawology cancelled on me twice via text message, never bothered to call as a business owner a never seemed very apologetic. Cancelled on me twice and then told me my goldens were difficult. I had to call myself To get them rescheduled after the first cancellation, because The business never followed up with me. I Do not recommend this business due to lack of communication, zero professionalism, and adaptability especially if you're in a time crunch. They do Not seem to be able to handle dogs with any special grooming needs, tho their website will portray that they do. You would think after cancelling on me the previous week for a Different reason, maybe he would share the love and cancel another appointment in order to accommodate, especially as I was very understanding the first cancellation. They must be very understaffed as well and unable to accommodate the appointments they take on. It also appears he has zero accountability or willingness to take constructive criticism of his business. Happy to give my hundreds of dollars it costs for grooming to another more appreciative, adaptable business.

The vet told us he does not have cancer & said the nose looked like it was scraped pretty deep by a razor or a clipper. It's the fact that you or whoever groomed my dog weren't transparent with what happened when I picked him up. I am putting my review here to let others know so their fur babies don't come here. My dog Yuki came out of his groom with part of his nose shaved off (See attached pictures). I noticed that his nose was extra shiny when I picked him up like they tried to cover their accident up with ointment. We didn't think too much about it as his nose was still black. However, over the next few days, whatever they put on him wore off & you can very clearly see the deep cut on his nose as it turned very pink like the raw skin was exposed. When I reached out to the business to ask about what happened, rather than owning up to their mistake and being transparent on what happened, the owner recommended that we visit our vet because she claims the cut looked like cancer OR that he may have cut it coming out of the kennel. CANCER OR KENNEL?! First off, this cut mysteriously appeared right after his grooming appointment and what kind of kennel has sharp edges for his nose to be cut THIS deep??! The least she could have done was own up to their mistake and apologize but we received excuse after excuse so now we have to resort to a negative review to warn other people out there not to bring their fur babies to this business.

WRONG he has NEVER had his hair shaved down. The owner Luke apologized and stated that his health is not affected. Also WRONG Luke! He is an 8 year old black double coated dog and we are heading into the warm summer months. My senior black fur dog just lost the ability to maintain his temperature regulation. What groomer would not know that you are not supposed NEVER shave down a long haired Dachshund as it damages the coat and impairs the dogs ability to regulate temperature. A knowledgeable groomer would know that long haired Dachshunds are DOUBLE COATED and their undercoat protects them from heat in the summer and cold in the winter. A knowledgeable groomer would know that shaving down their fur can damage their permanent coat preventing it from growing back properly. Poor guy it looks horrible and I'm praying that somehow we are lucky and it grows back in without being permanently damaged. This is going to impact my dogs entire summer as he will have to avoid being in the sun. So no long walks or hikes for him. So you are WRONG Luke this is more than cosmetic and goes way beyond my dog looking absolutely horrible. This definitely affects his health and his life. BEWARE AND NEVER BRING YOUR DOG HERE!!!!

This was the first grooming experience that my adopted dog had with us (his new family). Since this seems to be their speciality, working with adopted dogs/ dogs who have never been groomed before, I thought this was the best place for my pet. Safe to say this has been my biggest and only regret with my adopted dog... I trusted this place and their groomers for over four hours (general time for a big dog w/ mats). I paid around $130 but paid triple the amount in medical bills. My dog came back silent, not his usual bouncy self. After google deep diving, I knew this was a normal response to such an experience, especially, since it was possibly his first ever time going to the groomers. After he came back, we (my family) were concerned since he was crying and looking for comfort. (he was neutered before his adoption and had similar behavior displayed when he had an infection) We quickly went to the vet and found multiple infections, around both ears and his arms, along with small cuts around his pelvis and neck. Disturbingly, he had identical circle marks on both ears. Same size and where the most infected area was. We are still confused since these marks have left physical and mental scars on my furbaby. We have since gone to another groomer but he still does not allow us to pet his ears without crying. He has since gotten better with time but this experience still hurts us. Please if you care about your dog family member, please spend a little more to go to another place. DO your research and check your dog right after he comes back to you from any groomer. Now I bring my 2 new puppy mill rescues to her, a Yorkie/Maltese mix and a Cavapoo. My Cavapoo is frightened of everything and Julie takes her time with her to help her feel more comfortable. My Morkie is a little sassy and Julie does such a good job with her as well. They always look fabulous! One of the most important things to me when I originally started with Julie, is that she grooms one dog at a time so your dog isn't sitting around in a cage for hours waiting their turn.
