After buying an e-bike online that I returned for a refund, I bought a step thru ebike. It was refreshing to shop at DogLeg. Robyn and TJ are great, no pressure, very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend DogLeg. It is local, you can see what your buying, you can test ride it, you make adjustment just for you. When buying online, you have to assemble, you have to fix/replace, you have to take what see online. No help, no advice. You have to do everything. lf you're not mechanical, you have to pay for it. If there's a problem with a DogLeg bike, the store will fix it. I was so encouraged by the professional manner of the store I bought an electric golf trolley.

We appreciate being able to get a bicycle or surrey when away from home as it is a pain to bring…read morebicycles. First time only four person surrey was available so we took it. We had fun, got a workout and that machine is larger and heavy. Yesterday we got the two person surrey and it was better for the two of us. It is so fun riding along the little beach roads, and having a roof keeps the sun off us. We at first wanted two hours, but one hour was just right. Every time we come to the Ventura beach we will be back. Thanks to the employees and Wheel Fun Rentals for a fun time.

After an outstanding e-bike experience in Lake Tahoe (with Vista Trail Bikes) just a few weeks…read moreearlier, we decided to rent two e-bikes from Wheel Fun Rentals at the Ventura Pier. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst rental experiences I've ever had. The problems started before we even left. The bikes had to be swapped out due to mechanical and maintenance issues while we stood waiting. Once we received functioning bikes, there was no safety briefing, no route guidance, no discussion of local riding conditions, and no meaningful instructions beyond handing us the bikes. What was most alarming was the complete lack of concern for customer safety. My wife's seat had been adjusted too high. Within approximately ten feet of leaving the rental area, and in full view of three employees, she lost balance and fell directly onto the pavement. Not one employee came over to check on her, offer assistance, or ask if she was injured. Nothing. Despite this, my wife wanted to continue riding, so we attempted to salvage the experience. The bikes themselves were poorly maintained, and our confidence in the equipment and operation was gone almost immediately. My bike kept changing E levels throughout the short ride. We returned the bikes in less than two hours despite paying for a four-hour rental. When asked how our experience was, I honestly replied that it was terrible. The response? "That's too bad." No concern. No questions. No apology. No attempt to understand what went wrong. From the condition of the bikes to the lack of safety procedures, customer service, and basic human concern, this operation felt careless and unprofessional from top to bottom. I would never rent from this location again, and I certainly would not feel comfortable bringing children or inexperienced riders here. There are plenty of places to rent bikes. Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend choosing one of them instead.

In this age of chain stores with very little customer service I feel obligated to gleefully shout…read moreout when I find a place that captures the "good ol' days" when making the customer happy is what it's all about. I had the misfortune of getting a flat tire while on a ride but the good fortune of having Google tell me there was a bike shop four blocks away. Upon entering the store I was greeted by two sweet dogs and the owner, Keith, an amiable guy who assured me I'd be on the road in no time but first he had to finish helping the couple that was already in the store. I overheard them thanking him for helping them find the part they were looking for---something he didn't stock but knew who did. While I waited I browsed the store, a spacious and neatly organized space with some pretty incredible looking Italian bikes. One of the dogs, Snoopy, followed me around, begging for a tummy rub and a kind word. Keith is the kind of guy who would fix your tire and then invite you to "set a spell" and sip a Coke with him on the front porch. I know that before I drop a wad of cash on a new bike I'm going to go back to Nonstop Ciclismo and let Keith help me with my decision.....and maybe rub Snoopy's tummy.

I tried contacting them by phone. One line states it is not in service and the other disconnects…read morebefore a ring. No response to emails or instagram. All I want is authorization to return a Campagnolo brake cable which was sent rather than a derailleur cable that I ordered. I've ordered from them in the past but won't risk having to communicate over some issue where there is no response.
