About a month ago i had booked a grooming appt with Dublin and 2 hours before my scheduled appt,…read morethey called and said they had to reschedule me for the following week. That did not work for me, so I started checking availability within 50 miles.... San Bruno came up. When I got there Jade greeted us and listened to my dog concerns. She recommended the Soothe & Repair add on and I'm really happy we did it. After an hour I got a call that my dog was ready for pick up. When I got there, she was in a kennel all cleaned up and Jade was jumping around and I could see my dog happily mimicking her. Jade was wonderful and helpful. She seems like she likes her job or just really likes dogs :-). My dogs skin was less irritable and she was not scratching for at least 2 weeks. .....Today, we went to another Petco closer to home and were not pleased at all! We will be making the trip across the bridge from now on.

We usually go to petsmart this is the first time we went to petco I regret that decision we never got a message to reschedule or a sorry notice atleast . Very disappointed!

There are loads of other 5-star reviews and I agree with everything in them. Scout's House is…read moreobviously a labor of love that just happens to be a business. The individualized attention to your pet is truly unbelievable. Detailed personalized reports, video tutorials for your pet and starring your pet, thorough pre-briefing and de-briefing with every session. I want to add creativity and determination. Lots of people think they have a stubborn dog, but Andrea let me know my dog truly was a grand prize winner. Elfie went on strike multiple times during every session, but she met her match in Andrea who never gave up figuring out ways to get Elfie to use that right forelimb. She even put a hair scrunchie on Elfie's snout so she would instinctively bat it off to work that range of motion. And instead of being frustrated by my stubborn dog, Andrea just loved her all the more for it. In spite of Elfie's resistance, she always walked a little more each week. And now, several months after Elfie graduated from PT, she is racing around like a puppy, going on longer walks and playing with more joyfulness than before her injury and surgery ever happened. For that matter, I should mention Elfie was referred by Lenity just next door, where Dr. Carlson performed the surgery on Elfie's shoulder. It was so convenient to have that partnership between the two. Thanks so much to Scout's House for everything!

They were very knowledgeable, provided effective exercise plans, and great instructions for us on how to work with Mila at home. Mila has great range of motion, and she's rapidly building strength in her back legs. On top of all of this, they kept it fun - Mila was always excited to meet the team and go inside. Highly recommend if you are looking for good recovery support!

I actually wanted to try it, but I was sad to read the ingredients had blue and yellow dye in the product. My dogs are getting older now and I don't let them have artificial flavors and they don't mind eating actual real foods That aren't dyed. Everything was clean and nice and organized at this particular place, and the parking lot was easy to access. Although the Panera in the back as well as the chipotle in the other plaza were a little cumbersome to get to or maneuver between two different parking lots and the flow of traffic. Lol.

One of them turned out to be a fancy one that inherently have seizures and recently died with nothing we could do. A while back we took her to the vet because or a red eye and they gave her a full examination and said she was completely fine and healthy, more BS. This is the second time I've been tricked like this and I'm so absolutely fed the hell up with these untrained employees not being able to recognize a difference between animals breeds due to severe lack of training. I will most likely be raising my concerns with animal rights boards and organizations such as PETA to hopefully call out you and other organizations for failing to provide the proper information needed to care for these criminals and I will not be returning

Reptile Realms - San Mateo

You have an assortment of diff reptiles, from monitors, to snakes, to iguanas, to geckos, etc. that you can choose to observe, pet, hold, or even buy. If you decide to buy anything, you also have all the items available to set up a tank for the first time or just stock up on some supplies if you already have an existing set up. The prices here were very competitive, there were exhibit deals happening all around. If you do want to hold a snake, or even take a picture with it, it will cost you at least $5 a round, so that was a bit costly.

Reptile Realms (aka the San Jose Reptile Show), for the last two years has been unable to hold the event at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds (as they did annually pre-covid). So they expanded to holding the expo at the San Mateo County Event Center for 2022. Basically there are LOTS of reptile displays, with most of the creatures for sale, and all of them for show. We found mostly snakes, all kinds of sizes, some with very unique patterns, vendors willing to share plenty of knowledge and info about the species, and even some snakes visitors could hold (for free). Besides snakes, there were roaches, crickets, tarantulas, shaved mice, lizards, geckos, chameleons, bearded dragons, tortoises, and some species I can't even name. I realize not all were reptiles, but there was also reptile "food" for sale, and other creatures. And you could get up close and personal with these animals, it was so cool. They also sold clever animal T-shirts and hats, toys (lots of snake themed, but also random stuff like unicorn horns), habitats, plants, and food (for reptiles and for humans). The event took place mainly in a giant hall, so it felt spacious even with the crowds. There were no lines and no wait to enter. And there was plenty of parking (with a $15 fee which was more expensive than the admissions ticket). Some of the reptiles are just sooo cute, especially those baby tortoises, this is a great place to find a new pet. But not for me... my bunnies wouldn't like that.
