I gotta tell you that you cannot go wrong with boarding your dog with Doggies Gone Wild. I had a little minute trip that we couldn't take our dog Duke, so I called a few places. One place has pricing that is unbelievable, another wanted too many things done before they would take a puppy for a few days. I called DGW and they were able to work with me and we were able to leave our pup for a few days. They were able to follow his meal plan, yea my pup has a meal plan, he eats better then me. They emailed us daily with pics and updates of Duke. I called prior to picking him up and they were able to bath him for us so I could take him home squeaky clean. No issues on my part and Duke was exhausted from playing with all his new friends. read more

WARNING to all pet owners about Doggies Gone Wild I had a truly horrible and heartbreaking experience with this place today, and I feel it's my responsibility to speak out so no other dog has to go through what mine did. My dog had an appointment scheduled for 12:00 PM. By 4:00 PM, not only had they not even started her appointment, but she had been left locked in a cement kennel for four hours with no water. That alone is neglectful and cruel. When I went to check on her, what I saw in the back where they keep the dogs was absolutely unacceptable. The area was filthy, unsanitary, and clearly not properly maintained. Dogs were kept without water, and many looked stressed, scared, and neglected. It broke my heart to see them in such poor conditions. This is not a safe or caring environment for pets--it is abusive. No pet parent should ever have to wonder if their dog is being mistreated when left in someone else's care. We trust facilities like this to provide basic needs, compassion, and professionalism--not to subject our animals to hours of neglect in dirty conditions. My boyfriends Muttdog loves this place. Every time we have to leave town for a few days, this place always accommodates Muttdog. If we tell him he's going to doggie daycamp, he even understands and heads straight to the car. At the beginning my dog would get anxious about being left at a strange location however the staff let me know that he was anxious and explained the steps they took to help him adapt. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR DOGS HERE. They took six hours to finish with my dog. He is 15 years old!! IDid not even apologize or even assume responsibility. They kept on saying "five more minutes" until I DEMANDED to see my dog...he was not even half done and it was closing time already!!! Unfortunately they "suckered me" into paying when I had just arrived by telling me my dog was almost done and just needed some finishing touches...they did not even offer an apology, much less a discount or refund. Update on May 2020: The response from the groomer below is a complete fabrication. We never requested for the same groomer, this is the first time I find out we could do that LOL. THEY NEVER CALLED, that's a complete lie, they had the dogs all day, we actually drove there right before closing time because we had not heard from them. They had not even began with our dog. I decided to finally try this place out for overnight staying and grooming service. I have to say that I was more than impressed with the service provided. The place is very clean and smells good. The girls at the front desk were very helpful and fast explaining the process, paperwork, and documents needed for my dog to stay there. I was more than happy when I saw my dog groomed. We explained them they could take their time to do it and that we could pick them up at the last hour usually before 5pm. They said it was ok. As far as I see it I'm a mom to two little girls who refuse to take off their fur coats. That said, you can understand that where I choose to leave them is no small decision. Couple that with my need for excellent customer service and attention to detail, and I'm a tough person to please. The staff, amenities, and my overall experience at Doggies Gone Wild was beyond fantastic. I drove from Coconut Grove just to take them there when I left for 4 days on vacation. My puppy is only 4 months and my older one is 6 years. The little one actually came back better potty trained because she was more in sync with my older one than when I left them. Like another reviewer, I too got constant updates and pictures of their status. Knowing they were being watched and getting updates really allowed me to enjoy my vacation. When I picked them up, they even gave me some cost saving tips for my next visit! Who does that? Amazing! If this is your first time, bring proof of up to date vaccines. This is a no brainer if you are in touch with your vet. They can email this to you usually or even fax. Also, it's nice to know that the other "kids" are healthy too. I saw this place on Yelp and thought this would be a great place for my 45lb puppy. The first time I brought him in, he got a great bath. His ears were cleaned really well and he smelled great for a couple days. Although, the second time I brought him in they called me only 35 minutes later to tell me he was ready. As soon as I got home I smelled stinky ears, stinky coat, stinky butt, and cologne. The very next morning he smelled as though he never even went. I've taken my dogs to groomers in the past and a good bathing/drying process should last at least an hour. I could tell they rushed through just about everything (ears, shampoo and anal glands). I didn't like that they rushed up the process and then proceeded to make excuses and not take responsibility. When I called to see if they did something different the second time around, the woman tried to tell me "well after a day the dogs do start to smell like dogs again"... So to rationalize my stinky dog after I spent $45 on a bath plus tip. So all their baths are supposed to make your dog smell the next day?? I don't think so. I'm not one to go out of my way to complain uncles I feel my money hasn't been well spent. Upon requesting to speak with a manager, I had to call back 3 times to get someone on the phone and leave my name and number each of those times since no manager was made available. I have never received a call and I am very disappointed with this groomer. I thought they were great at first but I am very displeased with the customer service and will not be bringing my dog there again. Very unprofessional. Essentially, it's a waste of time and money to drop your dog off for 35 minutes just to have to go back and spend your $50. Take your dog somewhere else if you want your money's worth. read more

They accommodate to you pets needs and personality, if your pet is shy they won't just throw him in the play pen with the rest of the dogs which is great!! Services are affordable and they care for the pups as if they were their own. You are free to leave them with toys, beds, blankets, etc. to reduce their anxiety of being in a new place. Dogs aren't just locked in cages all day, rather they get 12 hours of play time in AC and have fresh water available. The staff is so friendly, caring, and attentive of all dogs. I received frequent emails with updates on him (whether or not he was eating or getting along with the other dogs). I am very disappointed in my dog's grooming this past week. I've been taking Charlie here for a couple of years and the quality of their service has drastically changed. His most recent grooming experience has caused him a lot of discomfort and I hope to discourage people from trusting their pet with this establishment. I dropped him off last week Friday at around 11am and he was not ready until after 3pm. I had to call to ask if he was ready. When I picked him up I noticed some skin irritation/razor burn on his belly and when I spoke to the groomer she responded by saying "no he had that before and he moves around a lot, doesn't stay still" She did not apologize nor did she express any concern. Why is it my dog's fault that you don't know how to do your job? Charlie can't be the only dog that doesn't stay completely still during grooming. Her rudeness and clear lack of professionalism definitely did not sit well with me but I decided to not escalate to the supervisor and just take Charlie home. I can guarantee Charlie did not have any skin irritation prior to his appointment. A few days later I started noticing he was very itchy and I found he had several cuts all over his body. Immediately I had to put a cone on him to prevent him from further irritating the area and started to treat his wounds. This is the worst experience I've ever had with a groomer and this has NEVER happened before. I'm just hoping this doesn't result in a vet visit. Great place. It's hiding in the cut put don't pass it up. The staff is extremely nice. My lil homie sheds like 50lbs every 2 days according to what my carpet looks like, and they gave him a solid bath, haircut and de-shedding treatment for a solid price. They don't take too long and they did a perfect job on the trim. My 6 month old Golden Retriever Bailey loves this place! She's quite the playful pup and I decided to bring her to "daycare" three times a week so she could get some exercise, socialization, and burn some of that crazy energy of hers. This place is full of well behaved and trained doggies - I never ever have to worry about her safety. The staff truly loves the dogs and have taken requests regarding her treats and meals (Bailey has to eat breakfast when she gets there because she gets car sickness on the way there). The prices are very good for the area and the facility is super clean. The staff is friendly and seem genuinely happy. I love following them on instagram, which they regularly update. They also have great hours and are open 7 days per week. Bailey never fails to be pooped but happy when I pick her up at the end of the day. Love this place! read more

After planning a trip to Europe for myself I had to figure out what to do with my Welsh Corgi, Icey. After searching the web I found Doggies Gone Wild. I liked what I saw online and decided to stop by to check them out. I met with Marco, the owner, and this place is cool! Their slogan of "Where cold noses play hard, bark loud, and relax," is very fitting! First, there are no cages or crates, but rather cottages, various sized pens. There is a big play area. Also, many dogs are here for day care so there is a lot of time running around and playing. Also, while I was on vacation, Marco sent over a dozen photos of my dog having fun and playing via email. This was a nice touch and really reassured me that all was well. The prices were reasonable and I can tell Icey had fun. After I picked her up we both went home and just slept! read more

Just picked my Jack Russell Terrier up from Doggies Gone Wild and he is looking good (freshly bathed) and wiped out from all of the supervised playtime that they get. At drop off, all my JRT's shot records were required, which is important to me. I also got a tour of the facility and had an in depth conversation with Marco, the owner - who both knows and loves dogs. We dropped off our timid and not so social greyhound ( we came highly recommended by a friend ). We gave them all information on her when we dropped her off. Despite the fact that our dog is a nervous wreck, they attempted to slowly introduce her to the other dogs during play time. She did great and throughout the process we were sent pictures and updates by the staff. It was a great experience for us and our dog. She was actually sad to leave lol and when we mentioned going home she turned around in the opposite direction to go back in. Although I have not boarded my Pomeranian, Cody, here overnight, I drop him off every Mon-Fri for daycare. He stays from 7am to 6pm. Cody is a very friendly puppy (9 months old) and loves people and other dogs, but he has always had terrible separation anxiety. He has always barked and cried incessantly when I leave the room--even if he is staying with my husband. After his first week at Doggies Gone Wild, however, he could not WAIT to leave me in the morning to go into the back and play with the other dogs! He actually left me standing at the front door, walked to the back door on his own where you enter the play area, and forgot to look back one morning! The only problem now is that he wants to leave the house before I am even ready in the morning just so he can get to daycare. It is truly amazing. I would definitely trust them to take good care of your puppy all day long. That said, it is weird that they won't let you into the back and are strangely secretive when bringing your dog out to you at night. But since Cody is happy, so am I. read more

I'm very disappointed. I took my dachshund last week for a full grooming and teeth cleaning. When I arrived, I met with the groomer, and explained what I wanted, and that I would come pick up my dog after work around 5:30. Well, at the end of the day I saw I had a missed call and a voicemail message. I listened to it, and it was "Doggies Gone Wild" telling me to call them because the groomer forgot what I wanted done. Obviously, I missed the call and was already on my way to pick her up by that time, so it was too late to call them back. I showed up, and when I saw my dog, I calmly paid and left. I didn't want to make a scene, and I was tired from a long day at work. As soon as I looked at my dog closely in the car, I saw that they did a horrible job. There are shave marks everywhere, her hair cut is uneven, and they did the opposite of what I wanted. MESS. The two stars are basically for the teeth cleaning.
