I have been a loyal client of Bowdon Animal Hospital for over 15 years and have trusted them with…read moreall five of our animals. Unfortunately, my experience today was extremely disappointing. I scheduled my two Mini Australian Shepherds for their annual checkup and received a confirmation text stating my appointment was for June 15 at 3:15 PM. After driving approximately 45 minutes to the office, I was told upon arrival that my appointment was actually scheduled for June 17 at 3:15 PM. I showed the staff member my confirmation text clearly confirming today's date and time. Rather than offering a solution, I was simply asked if I could come back another day that week. After explaining that I live 45 minutes away, I was told I could wait, but that it would be "a while," despite having proof that I had received confirmation for that appointment time. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. What was most disappointing was the lack of concern or effort to make things right. As a long-time client, I expected better customer service and accountability. I've also noticed significant staff changes over the last few visits, and the level of service no longer feels the same as it once did. After discussing the situation with my husband, we have decided to transfer our records and seek veterinary care elsewhere. It is sad to end a 15+ year relationship this way, but customer service and respect for clients' time matter. Unfortunately, Bowdon Animal Hospital has lost our business for all five of our animals.

(Prices included in review) I have a mutt puppy that I've…read morebeen taking here since I got him at 8 weeks. My experience has been overwhelmingly positive, and the vet is extremely knowledgeable. The prices are also very reasonable! Results may vary, of course, but these approximate prices (give or take $1) are based on my puppy who was 4 lbs at 8 weeks old, 8lbs at 12 weeks old, and 12 lbs at 16 weeks old. Each set of his puppy shots was about $28 each and the rabies shot was $14, and each time I went they also did a wellness exam for about $12. So, less than $150 for all 3 rounds of shots + rabies vaccine, along with a visual exam each time. A test for worms was $18, and his microchipping was $53. When I had a list of questions written down and sent in with my pup during one of his checkups (renovations made it impossible to go inside), Dr. Baldwin came out to my car and went through each of the bullet points with me. Very professional and thoughtful. My ONLY complaint is that I often get the "closed" or "busy" messages when I call, especially at around 8-9 in the morning. I don't blame them though, because I understand that it can be very busy and a lot of people may be calling at that time. I just would be more willing to wait on hold than to try calling back at random intervals. Also, they have no website, which I feel would be helpful to have in this day and age. Those are small complaints, though, and overall I highly recommend this vet.

HORRIBLE owner and business…read more please avoid this groomer for the safety of yourself and your pet! I pulled up to Melissa's trailer home residence to have my dog groomed. so please be aware this is an "at home groomer business" the atmosphere of the "facility" is frightening enough but what's worse is upon exiting my vehicle to bring my 8month old pup to her front door she was attacked by 3 pit mix dogs and severely injured - she received 2 staples in her neck and antibiotics. We ended up with no grooming service done and instead a trip to the vet and a large bill. she refuses to make any of it right by helping with the bill or even admitting to the incident. she is a shady and uncaring person- don't be fooled, and don't let this happen to you or you animal!
