This location used to be Companionway Kennel. It is under new ownership but essentially the same…read morestaff work there. We have had great experience using this kennel for the past 8 years. They recognize us on site and our dog is never afraid to be left off. We toured pretty much every kennel in the state (8-years ago) and this was by far the best choice. They kept their facilities clean and had friendly professional staff....not high school / college kids. The runs are decent size and our dog never comes back too stinky (i mean, it is a kennel...but not covered in feces or urine like other places we have been). hey also have Dog & cat grooming services. My biggest complaint is they are no longer open on sundays. This really ramps up the cost if you are just doing an overnight from Sat to Sun. Now I can't pick up my dog until Monday afternoon because I have to go to work all day first? That seems a little 'iffy to me.T

If I could rate this breeder a zero I would. We purchased a five month old male German Shepard…read morefrom here about two years ago. Once we started to train him and observe his behavior, it became evident that the dog was left unattended for long periods of time and the breeder was just in it for the money. This was reinforced by the fact that nobody ever answers the phone and there's no capability to leave a voice message. The dog obviously had no socialization with people or other animals in his first five months. He was overly aggressive from the beginning and constantly growled and lunged at people and other dogs, starting with the basic obedience class we attended. Despite hiring two reputable trainers, it was not possible to break him of the barking and lunging at people and other dogs. We have to keep him outside, or on a leash, with a muzzle, whenever anyone comes to visit. He even bit one of the trainers and came close to biting my son on the arm and my girlfriend in the face. I contacted four animal shelters and none of them would take him because they said he was too aggressive and therefore "unadoptable." I guess I'll just have to keep dealing with it. I've owned other Shepards before and never had a problem with training. They're smart dogs and usually learn quickly. I would recommend to anyone looking for a German Shepard to find a reputable breeder with good references and not someone just looking to make a buck.

He will warn people that his communication is "direct," but that is inaccurate. His responses are dramatic cut-and-paste messages that often have nothing to do with your own request. My dog got what it needed from training, but lost a good amount of weight. When this was pointed out to the assistant, they reviewed their instructions- sure enough, the wrong amount of food was listed. It should have been obvious for a dog that size.

Canine Behavioral Services is incredible! Brian and his staff worked with my two dogs to get them…read moremore comfortable around other people and dogs. They also guided us on behaviors to implement at home to create a more balanced life for each of them. Most importantly, these techniques helped the dogs become comfortable and confident in our home when we welcomed a baby. With the help from Canine Behavioral Services, this transition happened nearly seamlessly, which I am confident would not have happened without Brian's help. I cannot say enough great things about Canine Behavioral Services, they have created such positive change in my two dogs and allowed for them to grow and flourish in our home! Brian continues to support us even after the completion of the program which has been incredibly helpful as we continue to maintain a balanced household for the dogs.
