We chose Southern Pawspitality and Tanya did an absolutely wonderful job for us. She came by the day before when we arrived for a meet and greet, and then looked in on them the next two days at mid day and early evening. We received email reports with pics, she genuinely loved the pups, and I don't know how we could have asked for more. We are headed back to New Orleans next week for a few days, and will certainly be contacting them again for our pup care, but in looking at the site I discovered that I did not leave a review last year (I simply missed the review prompt or something, I'm embarrassed to say the least!). Based on our experience, they are a solid 5 star, that's for sure!

He was amazing with communication and extremely easy to work with. Very knowledgeable and would also explain things to me (how and why we were doing the things in training that we were doing) in a way that I understood. Highly recommend Matthew for all of your dog training needs :)

The…read morenew pup, Maybelline, was so full of love but came from a tough background (she was a bait dog in a fighting ring) and came to my home with essentially 0 healthy socialization with other dogs. I already had a dog, Bugg, who was not a fan of Maybelline and her lack of boundaries only compounded the situation- they couldn't be together without Maybelline running at Bugg and stepping over him (he's a tiny guy). I was determined to make this work so I reached out to ARNO and they connected me to Matt. We had a one hour training session and it was a great experience. Both dogs were comfortable with Matt from the get go. A lot was covered but the breakthrough for me was Matt's guidance in giving the dogs freedom to interact and allowing Bugg to "correct" Maybelline when she invaded his space/ignoring his cues of "I don't want to play, you are too close, give me space" so she couldn't learn. He gave specific recommendations for how much interaction to allow before separating the dogs and to limit face to face positioning. Matt helped me understand body language cues which eased my anxiety- it wasn't aggression on either end, just a case of one dog trying to say "stop annoying me" and the other dog being totally clueless. After that session I was able to relax and let them interact more without feeling like I had to be a helicopter. Soon the dogs were snoozing on the couch together and walking together without issue. We would have gotten here eventually without Matt's help but it would have taken so much longer and have been way more stressful than necessary. I added pictures to show our success :)

I worked with the company for about 2 1/2 years and loved forming the relationships with all the furry clients and with Brendan(owner) and Elizabeth (operations manager) . You can rest assured the team members caring for your fur babies will love your pets and give them wonderful care, as I did. They also spend as much time as needed communicating with owners to book services, or answer any questions or concerns you may have. Brendan is one of those bosses that truly appreciates your hard work and always lets you know it. He is honest and fair in all aspects of his business. I have worked for other pet care/boarding business in the New Orleans area and can honestly say I would much rather have my pets stay in the safety and comfort of their home than go to a boarding facility. When I had to go out of town I had no doubts that my dog and cat were in good hands with the K9 team. I got an emails at each visit with an update on how they were doing and pictures. They use an app that lets you tracks what time they come and go from your home, where they walked your dog, and provides you with an update and pictures from the visit. K9 will accommodate all kinds of requests that you need or just want for your pet. I would recommend K9 Second Line to everyone, every time!

Because we do not live in the area, we had to do a significant amount of research, ask detailed questions, and place a great deal of trust in the person we chose. May appeared professional, was knowledgeable about her services, and clearly cares about animals. Based on our early interactions, she seemed capable and experienced. However, communication became a major concern. Email responses were very slow, and important details were not provided until the last minute. The most concerning issue occurred one week before the wedding, when we finally received an invoice that included unexpected charges. While we were initially quoted $75 per hour, the invoice included over $200 in additional "consultation" fees. There was no formal consultation--only a few email exchanges (approximately 3-4 emails) requesting basic information about services and timelines, many of which went unanswered. Due to the lack of timely communication and the surprise fees so close to our wedding date, we ultimately felt uncomfortable moving forward and canceled our plans. Future clients may want to clarify all fees in writing upfront and ensure communication expectations are clearly established.
