In addition, this business gives back to the community by grooming dogs for the Jefferson Protection and Animal Welfare Service, the Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter. This sweet shelter stray that was given a bath and groom to make him more adoptable. He came to the shelter filthy, emaciated and very matted to the skin. The issue I had was my dog being left in a kennel while she wasn't being groomed. Every time i picked her up she would panting, barking, pacing inside the kennel. We do not kennel our dog and never have the entire time we've owned her which has been over 5 years since we rescued her. I have to bring a cup of water when I pick her up which was usually 2-3 hours later. Because I felt like she was extremely hot and thirsty and always drank all the water by the time I arrived home which takes 7 minutes. So if your dog has never been kenneled or has been traumatized from being kenneled due to it's past. I do not recommend this place. If your dog loves to socialize with other dogs and is kennel trained then by all means try it out.

The process for boarding is a meet & greet day care session to make sure your dog will get along with other dogs, and they suggest another day or two before boarding so your dog is comfortable there before staying overnight. They said Izzy did great, and she was worn out from playing when she got home. How do I know? They have an app and web cams in each area, so you can watch your dog from your phone. Every time I watched, there was an attendant in the area, either playing with the dogs or cleaning (or both). Everyone in the place clearly loves dogs, and they're consistently bubbly and cheerful. I was having trouble getting registered for the app, and one of the guys there was waiting to help me when I walked in to pick my dog up from the meet & greet. Izzy stayed four nights and came home clean, happy and tired. They also do baths, nail trims, and tooth brushing, which I forgot to ask for while she stayed, but I'll do that next time I make her a play date.

ER TN that I am I decided to wait it out, Benadryl in case it was related to a bee/wasp sting, Tramadol as prescribed on a prior Vet visit. I was delightfully greeted on the phone by Katie approximately 0830 a.m. I explained I literally just moved from California earlier this month and had yet to secure a Vet. Katie explained that they were completely booked but suggested I bring Pearl in and leave her so they could squeeze her in between patients. I walked into the facility expecting to be there for the greater part of the day. I was taken back to a room right away, a really short wait later Anna came to assess Pearl and discuss the next course of action. I immediately felt at ease and believed my pupster was in good hands so I braved WalMart whilst I waited... I believe looking back I was more traumatized... (Just kidding WalMart Shoppers!) I was phoned just as I was leaving the parking lot by Dr Zachary Carroll phoned to let me know, although Pearl managed to injure her elbow, it was nothing orthopedically serious. Anti-inflammatory meds and non sedating pain management and she should recover just fine. Sweet Baby Jesus Thank You!!! I'd like to also give a shout out to Angelique at the front desk who was just as delightful as the rest of the staff. It's so move to see staff smiling while working and concern for not only your pets wellbeing, but yours as well. Thanks Anna for listening! Hopefully we won't have a "need" to see these guys except for routine visits. She took my dog "for vitals" and didn't return for several minutes. I went to find her and saw her pinned tightly between the tech's arm and body, with a towel positioned to hide a rope around her neck. Another staff member said they were waiting for the doctor, but as soon as they noticed me watching, the rope came off and she was returned. Later, in the room, she got a shot while I held her -- no barking, no movement. Clearly, the rope and aggressive restraint were unnecessary. Their social media shows gentle, happy animals at outreach events -- no ropes, no towels, no rough handling. What I saw today was the opposite. We won't be back. Update: we've found another vet after reviewing the video from the visit and watching their TikTok making fun of the feedback from our experience.

However, communication became a major concern. Email responses were very slow, and important details were not provided until the last minute. The most concerning issue occurred one week before the wedding, when we finally received an invoice that included unexpected charges. While we were initially quoted $75 per hour, the invoice included over $200 in additional "consultation" fees. There was no formal consultation--only a few email exchanges (approximately 3-4 emails) requesting basic information about services and timelines, many of which went unanswered. Due to the lack of timely communication and the surprise fees so close to our wedding date, we ultimately felt uncomfortable moving forward and canceled our plans. Future clients may want to clarify all fees in writing upfront and ensure communication expectations are clearly established.
