My poochie was a nightmare dressed like a daydream! Until one day when I went in and found Carlos…read morethe dog trainer's flyer, I was like what's so different about him, I already went for private training and my dog is still a crazy nightmare, then I read on and saw that he did drop off training and over night boot camp. I immediately contacted him and met him on a Sunday and left my Bull Terrier Pit for 2wk boot camp, she actually took an extra wk cause she was so stubborn, When I went to pick her up 3 wks later, he gave me and my son training so everything is consistent with what he taught her. I took her home did what he said before we got in the house, she was so calm, didn't chase the cats, I was impressed, then I took her out for a walk, with the cats zooming by, she didn't pay them any mind, didn't pull me down the street, she walked next to me, she is like a different dog, I took her to the pet store, omg, I came out of there calm instead in an anxiety attack, she was calm, stayed by me, didn't go nuts and not barking at everything. I have to say Carlos is a dog miracle worker, you have to contact him at Gainesville Animal Hospital if you have a dog that's crazy hyper, or just needs some behavioral modifications, you won't be sorry.

One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had…read more I called to confirm my dog's surgery appointment after receiving an email clearly stating the procedure was scheduled for May 12th. Instead, I was abruptly told the surgery had been pushed all the way to June 7th without a single phone call, email, explanation, or apology. When I asked why my dog's surgery date had been changed without notifying me, I was told they were "not obligated" to explain. That response alone was shocking, but the interaction only got worse from there. The staff member became hostile, argumentative, and incredibly unprofessional simply because I asked reasonable questions about my pet's medical care. I was repeatedly interrupted, accused of being rude for trying to understand what happened, and hung up on multiple times. What makes this even worse is that I later called back specifically to apologize in case there had been any misunderstanding and genuinely tried to de-escalate the situation respectfully. Instead of resolving the issue professionally, I was told to "take my business somewhere else" and hung up on again. Completely unacceptable behavior from a veterinary office. Pet owners are already stressed enough when dealing with surgeries and medical procedures. To be treated with this level of disrespect, arrogance, and lack of communication is unbelievable. If this is how they handle basic scheduling concerns and client communication, I would seriously question trusting them with anyone's pet.

Very client-focused. Great facility and convenient location. Highlights: Easy to make an appointment on their website. Easy to find and park (it's near Walmart and Bolay in Butler Plaza and GPS got me there as i usually find it a confusing area). Great facility -- brand new, welcoming and spotless. Sign in electronically on the tablet in the waiting room. Generous snacks for humans and pets (!). Nice touch. Friendly staff. Mykenna and Dr. Elizabeth Luria took care of our dog's ear infection -- tested, cleaned and treated his ears and sent us home with meds. Just over $200 with our UF staff discount -- comparable with Blue Pearl or the vet school. Only snafu was we had to double check the meds before discharge as they were not the ones the vet had indicated but that was caught and fixed to the right ones. Minor delay. Discharge paperwork and instructions are very clear. And they proactively send records to your regular vet. The whole experience was about two hours. Again, not unexpected for a same-day urgent visit. We were grateful. Usually the vet ERs are swamped. We heard other patients and they seemed busy but didn't seem distracted with us and were fully present. Thank you! We will be back if needed. Glad you are here in town.
