Decided to give new guy (James) a chance. BIG MISTAKE as he nearly shaved my dog and even did that poorly, very uneven. He didn't clean his ears or teeth as I paid him to and nails are smooth or even. My dog has irritation around his eye and anus from the terrible trim or rather shave job. Mgr, Melissa stated that James didn't know how to look up my pet's previous grooming history with all the notes that clearly state my preferences and what cutting guides to use. So James decided to wing it and do that fastest easiest cut there is, cut them close! However he left his belly hair much longer, didnt attempt to blend his cuts, there are literal cut lines clearly visible, didn't clean or pluck his ears, his face hair and whiskers are randomly cut and he didn't even blow dry him which I specifically stated and requir (FYI, my dog loves being blow dried when done correctly and with heat turned off. We have a pro pet dryer at home) I spoke with mgr and was refused a refund but she offered to try and fix his poor haircut. She admitted to seeing it prior to me picking him up but didn't fix the problem then. She did apologize but told me the owner (Alexis) doesn't allow refunds. This place has experienced a mass exodus of their best and most experienced groomers in recent weeks which suggests there are some serious mgt issues. PROTECT you beloved pet, go elsewhere.

When I'd take him to other groomers, we'd always end up at the vet two days later after he'd have a terrible outbreak or some sort of reaction to products being used or being put under a dryer. This has never been an issue at Charlie's Place. On our first visit I told them all about my concerns and my dog and they have taken amazing care of him ever since. They also don't cram him in a tiny crate - they have a huge area for him to hang out in which I really appreciate since he's so large. All of the staff here is amazing and friendly and I always feel so comfortable leaving my pup with them for the day. It's also one of his favorite days too! When we'd use other groomers, as soon as they'd try and take him back, he'd just lay down which made it so hard on me and I knew something wasn't right. But here, he happily trots back, tail wagging, and doesn't think about me until I come to get him again. I know he's happy and for me, thats worth it. He also always looks amazing. What an amazing vacay for my four-legged babe!!…read more Being an avid-traveler (well, prior to COVID ) it's important for me to know that my baby Babs is safe and secure until I return more home. Being a new client of Pet Paradise, I feel just that way! Babs spent two nights at Pet Paradise as a boarding guest and I'm sure that if she could talk, she'd tell me how great it was!! As soon as we walked in the door, Babs was treated like a celebrity! She made new friends before I even walked out of the door as she was given some bite-sized treats and loved on by the amazing team at Pet Paradise. When I returned to pick her up, I loved that the staff remembered that I was Babs' mom and happily told me all about her stay, and even showed me the cutest pics of her snuggled up! Received an email the morning of drop off that they had cancelled reservation because didn't have them. I Immediately called , had to leave a message, but super friendly girl that answered the phone said no problem if we brought them records. They were checked in and an hour later,we're in the airport when I received a call asking what kind of dog we had. It's a dachshund and a Yorkie-nothing rare. They went through all of the information I had entered in their web site AND was on the vet records that I dropped off personally as well as on the clip board they gave me to fill out while I was there . I had requested grooming, again through the web site and a follow up email with pictures just in case. I received a message saying if I didn't call them, they would cancel grooming. Not a good time for me return the call, so I made appointment at Nature's Pet, worth an extra trip great job. One might wonder why we would book another appointment? The girl out front is so nice and great with the dogs. I thought since they now have all of our records, there should be no problem. Until this morning, on our way out of town. Stopped by to drop the dogs off. Only to find that our reservation had been cancelled. They said we didn't pay a deposit. Looked through all of my emails to see if I missed request but nothing-NADA. Only email other than advertisements is the confirming email. There are no messages and no phone calls from a number associated with pet paradise. So thanksgiving weekend I'm missing my flight.
