Definitely needs some TLC, particularly new mulch as the under mat is showing all over. Drinking fountain (human part) didn't work. At the small park it's full of foxtails and the drinking fountain didn't work at all (human or dog). The main sign is deceptive saying the low gap dog park requires leashes which just isn't accurate inside the fencing. Otherwise great park for your pup- just recommend to bring your own water for u and your fur child.

Thankfully there are tennis balls around from previous visitors(thank you!). The water station for the dogs in the "Small & Shy" side was acting up, water wasnt flowing into it but someone was kind enough to leave an old plastic tupperware to use for filling. It's a large, fenced in park with wood chips on the ground, and trees all around creating lots of shade, even on hot days. Pups have so much space to run free and sniff and play and check their pee-mail. Sensory and exercise heaven! There's a path around the inside of the park that is now paved, so a great little walking loop for the humans, if you want to get some movement in too. The new shade structure is large with tables and chairs. There are a few water spouts/fountains, and at least 3 poop bag dispensers and garbage cans. Be a good citizen and keep the park clean - scoop the poop! Our pups absolutely love this park - such a great place to socialize with other dogs. It's really helped our younger pup who is sometimes reactive when on leash. She's so much calmer and more confident off-leash. Our pups enthusiastically jump out of the car upon arrival, and leave the park tired and content! Happy dogs, happy humans!

The best way to…read moreaccess this park is to turn on College Avenue from Pope Street and then drive all the way to the far end of the parking lot. This is considered a dog park, but there's more to it than that. At the entrance you'll find eight picnic tables on concrete with a couple of large grills and a fountain. If you walk towards the rear of the park, that is where you will spot the enclosed dog park which is out of view from the entrance. You'll also find a nice dirt path that runs around the perimeter and the dog park. If you find yourself here in the summertime you'll notice there's lots of blackberries growing wild next to the trail. It's a great park to have a picnic at or bring the pooch, but there are no public restrooms here. Informative photos included.

If you're coming out to the Clear Lake area looking for hiking, this is probably one of your best…read morebets. Pros: You don't have to go far up the trail to get picturesque glimpses of Clear Lake. Easy hike, terrain is not difficult footing even for kids. Parking lot right near trailhead, and seems like parking is not hugely popular so you're likely to get a spot. Cons: Looooooooong drive up... get ready to play I Spy with your kids for a good 20 minutes. Also if your passengers are prone to motion sickness, this isn't the greatest drive. Service vehicles also use the trail so if you have kids you'll need to keep them close by. Some areas may be muddy in winter months. If the bottom of the mountain is cold, it is WAY colder up here. Bring far more clothing than you might think is necessary.
