After arriving, I was pleasantly greeted by Grace and was made feel very welcome. Everyone in the lobby said hello to Sammy and gave him some pets. They explained the process to me and promptly took him back to get groomed. The whole process took around an hour or so, and he came out smelling and looking great! And lastly, the pricing was great! I spent around $100 total for their basic hygiene which includes a bath, nail trim, teeth brushing, and ear cleaning. I also added on a full blow-out as he sheds quite a lot! I felt I got great service for my money and was happy. Overall, I would definitely take your best friend to Scenthound Petaluma. They clearly love their job and are about you are your animal. Shout out to Grace!

Jason lets me know where he struggled, and I try to make up where I can at home, but at least he made sure that the money makers (the face) look great. I'm so grateful! Both experiences were miserable and they took over 45 minutes each where I had to assist in the holding of my cat as she cried out in agony. Heather and Jake walked through my door, and presented with a very professional and friendly demeanor. They were right on time for their 10 AM appointment. They came to my apartment. Squeaker tried to run underneath the TV stand, but Heather calmly grabbed her and handed her to Jake as he calmly spoke into her ear. What a good girl she is. Heather immediately went on to start trimming her nails and Jacob lulled her by calmly talking softly into her ears, you're such a good girl you're doing such a good job. I was blown away. I usually have to take Ativan before her nails get done. I used to take her to PetSmart. Never again. I am going to have them over once a month, they are amazing. If you haven't tried them yet, once you try them, you will never go anywhere else. Their pricing is more than fair, they come to you if you can't get to them and I am disabled so I can't get out without (my Caregiver). Thank you so much Heather and Jake. The care and kindness they show to the dogs are unmatched, and you can tell they genuinely love what they do. Their facility is fantastic--there's a large, open area for the dogs to move around and private half-wall kennels that are spacious enough to fit multiple dogs, but they only ever use them for one dog at a time. It's such a thoughtful setup, ensuring the dogs are comfortable and not stuck in a small cage. I've never had any issues with appointments or service--they're always reliable and professional. He wouldn't give me another appointment and said I'd have to talk with his mother about it. I texted Jodi and asked her to call me. She didn't. I realize they have no shortage of business but they clearly don't care about losing a loyal customer. That attitude is disappointing. I'm now trying out other groomers. There are plenty around.

Unfortunately, the same cannot be used to describe the cleanliness of the store. The floors and fixtures are in desperate need of a deep clean. There are thick build-ups of grime and dirt on the floor tiles, heavy layers of dust, cobwebs, and debris gathered under the shelves, and clumps of loose pet hair drifting down the aisles. Even the bottom of the "JustFoodForDogs" freezer unit had noticeable grime running down the front vent. I want to support our local pet stores, but walking through such neglected aisles makes for an uncomfortable shopping experience. The front-end staff is doing great, but management really needs to step up the store's basic housekeeping and sanitation.
